Enter Black Mandala, who picked them up, dusted them off and gave them a new title for release outside their home country.
For those who haven’t seen the first film, Skinford 2: The Curse opens with a recap via footage from it, as well as various newspaper clippings under the credits. That gives way to Jimmy “Skinny” Skinford trying to get a place where he and Zophia can lie low after the events of the first film.

Bringing sea creatures to life around a human actor for the "Under the Sea" musical number in The Little Mermaid was the most challenging says director Rob Marshall. The live-action remake of the Disney classic was no easy feat even for the veteran musical director and his frequent collaborator John DeLuca. The two describe why that sequence was difficult and what they borrowed from Disney's Fantasia to resolve some of their issues. ...

In 1999, Universal Studios released The Mummy, a fresh take on the classic monster movie. The Stephen Sommers-directed film was a huge hit and turned Brendan Fraser into a bonafide movie star. The success of the first movie led to two sequels – The Mummy Returns in 2001, and Tomb of the Dragon Emperor in 2008. And though a fourth film was slated for production, it was ultimately never released.
So whatever happened to this mysterious Mummy movie? Will it ever see the light of day, or will it remain forever hidden like an ancient relic? Let’s find out Wtf Happened to the Unmade Mummy: Rise of the Aztec Movie.
Before The Mummy’s release, Universal Studios had spent close to a decade trying to get a remake off the ground. In the late 1980s, producers James Jacks and Sean Daniel sought to modernize the 1932 classic and hoped to turn it into a potential franchise.

Michael Keaton is back as Batman! "The Flash" had its big trailer unveiling during the Super Bowl and officially revealed Keaton's Batman, who walks confidently toward the camera before delivering his immortal line: "I'm Batman." The man hasn't suited up since 1992's "Batman Returns" and in the interim, multiple generations of kids have grown up with different actors playing the Dark Knight. Some have never even known the thrill of seeing Keaton's caped crusader emerge from Anton Furst's grimy production design to mete out justice with what Jack Nicholson's Joker called his "wonderful toys." Now, the original blockbuster Batman will descend upon the 21st century when "The Flash" debuts on June 16, 2023. And fans of the Og Dark Knight, myself included, couldn't be more excited.
When Keaton's Batman appears in the "Flash" trailer, he's accompanied by a tasteful interpolation of Danny Elfman's original theme for 1989's "Batman." Once...

"Superman Returns" might not be considered the best Superman movie, but in hindsight it really wasn't bad. Its reverence for Richard Donner's 1978 "Superman" film gave it some real charm, which, after two decades of the gritty reboot trend, seems like a much more welcome prospect now than perhaps it did back in 2006. But while it made a decent 391 million, it wasn't enough for Warner Bros. to push ahead with any sequels.
Director Bryan Singer did admit years later that his movie was perhaps overly "nostalgic and romantic." These days Singer's reputation has been pretty much decimated after some truly horrific allegations of sexual assault came to light, but back in the early-aughts he was riding high, having scored hits with "X-Men" and "X2: X-Men United." And when he wasn't churning out popular superhero blockbusters, he was also helping out with the acclaimed TV series "House," on which he served...

A steady flow of specialty films starts this weekend with the return of a key player to cinemas and a broader arthouse slate that will expand steadily into awards season. This is still a weird theatrical landscape but independent distributors and theater owners have agreed for months that there’s no recovery without a brisker pace of new releases
Indie distributors also appreciate that the weekend’s big studio release, The Woman King with Viola Davis, is a classic battle epic, yes, but also a story for adults, and for women. Another wide release, A24’s XXX prequel Pearl, skews young but — it’s still indie.
“I think we are starting to get a full complement of movies to see. Adult movies that are smart and funny,” says one specialty distribution executive. It’s been a long wait. “Patience is a virtue we need to have a lot of. These may not [all] be huge movies,...

The People’s Joker opens with a disclaimer: “This film is a parody and is at the present time completely unauthorized by DC Comics, Warner Brothers, or anyone claiming ownership of the trademarks therein…”
The fact that the film, which was directed, cut and performed by Vera Drew from a script by Drew and Bri LeRose, requires the statement up front isn’t surprising. This transgender Joker origin story is steeped in Batman and DC references, but it is unabashedly ruthless in who and what it mocks, resolutely taking aim at certain canonical characters and plotlines while also reverently paying homage to many iterations of Batsy.
Credit creator Drew, who repurposes her own trans experience to tell the coming of age/coming out story of young Joker (Griffin Kramer). Growing up in Smallville with her mother (Lynn Downey) and absent, never seen father, Joker feels out of place in her male body.

With the hype building for Michael Keaton’s return as Batman for The Flash and Batgirl, it’s hard to believe that fans were once outraged at the actor’s casting in the late ’80s. To fans who hated the campy 1960s Batman series, it seemed like an insult to cast a relatively diminutive and wiry comedian best known for manic roles in Beetlejuice and Mr. Mom as the Dark Knight.
Ultimately, many factors contributed to the fans’ change of mind, but none as powerfully as the simple sight of Keaton wearing the Bat-suit for the first time, transforming the energetic oddball into a skulking figure of the night.
That costume continued to evolve when Keaton returned to the role for 1992’s Batman Returns, and especially when Val Kilmer and George Clooney followed in the Joel Schumacher-directed sequels Batman Forever and Batman and Robin. And the suit is evolving...

There have been countless kid-friendly cartoon spin-offs of blockbuster movies that are anything but, from "RoboCop" and "Rambo," to "Starship Troopers" and "The Toxic Avenger," but few are as good as "Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous." Though this animated show is still aimed at general audiences, it is an all-around great piece of television, with moments of chilling tension, plenty of dino-carnage, and also some surprising amount of emotionally mature content and themes like Ptsd.
The show takes place in the days leading to the events of the first "Jurassic World" and follows a group of teens at a summer camp on Isla Nublar who get trapped on the island...

We’ve almost made it to the end of 2021, and what a rollercoaster year it has been. As the world slowly but surely emerge from the prolonged lockdown, this winter holiday feels almost halfway back to normal. While not all aspects of the holiday season have returned to pre-pandemic festivity, one thing that has come back in full force are our favorite long-time, evergreen Christmas movies and holiday specials to play on never-ending loops on our TV screens.
Using network schedules and streaming releases, we’ve cobbled together all of the holiday movies and TV specials we could find and think our audience will enjoy. Be sure to chime in with anything we may have missed as we will be updating as the season moves along.
A note: If You’Re Looking For Hallmark Movies, we’ve decided not to include them in our curated schedule this year, save for new releases.
