Rifts seem to be forming in the show, largely because certain characters are leaving.The rift between Dan and Susan gets wider.The rift between Libby and Steph gets wider.The rift between Donna and Ringo gets wider.The rift between Dan and Libby...is invisible but definitely there.As Libby continues to stick her head in the sand and Susan continues to blame everything on Dan, curiously Dan and Lucas, who were at loggerheads not so long ago, seem to be the only people still on speaking terms.And Dan and Steph, of course...The cliffhanger sees Susan's MS symptoms choosing this moment to return.It's a shame it's being used as such a plot device.
Elsewhere, Donna and Ringo's relationship seems to be undergoing a final disintegration.Donna does, sadly, seem to be missing the point, that although Ringo doesn't understand her passion he does support it, and ends up muscling her way into his boys' night and embarrassing him.
