Does Jennifer really focus

I've noticed on Jennifer Hudson show just by looking at her face she acts like she's really intrigued on what is going on with her guest. I think Jennifer is arrogant & really is on the show to be seen! Wow her logo style (Mama Hud) she's not that happy with nobody because when she looks her guest in the eyes she is always looking sideways & what I mean by that...her wondering eye in her mind is wondering is this audience happy with her show or are they judging her? Jennifer Hudson is fake & conceded!!! It's one thing to feel beautiful but don't think you are more beautiful than your audience and guest. Just be yourself & remember we know you can sing.

Not her forte

I can't quite put my finger on it but there's no life in it. All of the humor comes from the guests, there's always a delayed reaction or a pause from Jennifer and her questions are literally coming from flash cards. I can tell the guests are doing most of the work to keep the humor. ALLLLL of these new talk show hosts ALLLL sing the same! It's beginning to feel like people are being chosen because of their race and not their talent. Unfortunately, this is not Jenn's forte, sorry. It would be nice though, to see someone like Carson Kressley giving it a try. He is alive, has experience and humor.

Trying hard to love this show...

We try everyday to love this show. But we can't watch it anymore nJennifer is way out of her league with this. Whose idea was it to give her this show? Appreciate all the superstars coming on to make an impact. But she struggles to talk to them - conversing back and forth. She seems very uncomfortable and the Ebonics are ridiculous! Does she really talk like this or is she trying to cater to black people who don't speak English well? Her outfits are usually great and her singing is absolutely beautiful. But those games are too childish and immature. Please stop this. It's ruining her reputation and making us cringe!!! Try Keke Palmer - she would be great! She was absolutely incredible on the recent Password Show.

Not a Talk Show Host

It is great to say Jennifer Hudson is an EGOT and an outstanding singer/songstress!! What a blessing. But Talk Show Host, she is not. The fake facial expressions surprised-look when interviewing her guests (mouth open, blinking eyes continuously). Some of these stars has been in the business with notoriety for many years long before her. When she sounds like she is taunting her guests during food/cooking segments by asking "Yall didn't want none did ya?" Not good. She also needs help with her wardrobe and fashion. And not good for a Talk Show Host to ask her guests for compliments. There are many veteran stars out there that has achieved great fame and can give her the guidance she truly needs.

They preview this horrific show every single day on the noon news hoping that at least one viewer will watch it. How she ever got a talk show is mystifying. She is un listenable and un watachable. All she does is make a round expression like she is amazed what a guest says which is nothing. They are going to run out of boring guests very soon if they haven't already. Cancel this dribble and bring back a soap opera. I will not buy any product advertised on it which is easy because I do not plan to ever watch it period. She has no interview skills or any skills that I am aware of. This is the time slot that Meghan Markle wanted for a hard hitting show that would have substance to it.

This show.... WOW... wtf are the producers thinking? Is their next move to hire a stock car driver to preform brain surgery? Take a woman who is respected in the music industry and ask her to perform a job she's not suited for on multiple levels and...? If the plan was to shoot around the bored faces in the audience, how's that working out? I am a huge Jennifer fan, she has a great voice, no one can deny her ability. Jennifer's personality and her dictation are unsuitable for the position of talk show host. I literally change the channel whenever she tries to string more than two sentences together, I just can't watch it anymore.

I.love her show its really nice to watch. I record it and try to watch it everyday. I am so proud and happy for her. She deserves all of this!!!!! Also I love her beautiful voice. I wish I can go to a church where she is singing. I love the way her show is diversified. I can relate to a lot of her guests experiences. I love the way she brings young black children on her show to be noticed and praised for the things they have accomplished in helping people in need. I congratulations you Jennifer you keep moving on. I hope your show continues for a very long time. You deserve all good.love you!!

Jennifer needs to stick to singing. A talk show host, she is not. Her diction is atrocious. If you are going to be a talk show host, you need to know how to talk. Her guest are fabulous, that's the only reason why I watch the show and at 5:00pm when I watch, there is literally nothing on but the news. Her outfits are horrible. She sounds so "country" though she comes from Chicago. Dreamgirls was one of her best movies, she really needs to stick to acting because a talk show host, she is not. Her audience (if she could ever say that word correctly) seems very boring as well. Really sad show to me. It's July 20th and I'm watching and I still feel the same about this show. Again, the guest are great but a talk show host is not the job for Jennifer Hudson.🤔 Can somebody tell me about how many times Jennifer has said the word "amazing" since her show premiered back in 2022? It's now August 2023 and I swear of all of the talk show hosts put together, I bet she's said "amazing" like a gazillion times!😳 It's January 29, 2024 and I'm still watching because like I said, Jennifer has the best guest, today, the man, the legend Charlie Wilson was her guest and he did not disappoint! Charlie was the bomb!! However, I need to know whycome...yes I said, whycome Jennifer, when it's time for a commercial always asks her guest if they would "stick around?" Where the hell are they gonna go Jennifer? They are in the middle of an interview with talk show host Jennifer Hudson on the Jennifer Hudson Show! Where are they gonna go??? OF COURSE they are gonna "stick around" Duh? Just try saying..."we'll be right back after the break" or something along those lines! God bless Jennifer Hudson!

Excellent Daytime Talk Show

Jennifer Hudson (JHUD) first time having a daytime talk show. I enjoyed the first season and can't wait to continue watching the latest season.

That's why I always set my DVR for the series to be saved after recording it.

Jennifer Hudson (JHUD) I do enjoy your talk show and hope you will continue when you want to finish of any season on your choice to complete your landmark. Also, can't wait to see you on what you got in store when it comes to your latest album and movie you're doing next while you're continuing or finishing your talk show season. Maybe a sequel to The Inevitable Defeat of Mister & Pete.

Where do they get these people for these show hosts ?? Jennifer is not good at this at all. Comes across as very childish and talks far too much. What annoys me further is that she continually is moving her hands and arms around. I hope she doesn't swat one of her guests. Nothing really much on her show to even talk about and her guests seem to be out of the blue. I wonder how they could even get a studio audience to watch her overacting and playing to the camera. Anyways, certainly not worth watching and just another network time filler. You would have to be really bored and a stay at home person to even turn on this show.

This is just a bad show..There is nothing great about her as a talk host..She does try, but she has nothing to offer, so it seems forced, fake.. Her voice is fine. But I think she's won music awards for song choices, rather than talent. I think she won an Oscar, again for the part, not her acting ability. Her personality is nothing interesting nor fun nor engaging to an audience. And she seems to be trying too hard, which comes out as sad & uncomfortable. Most anything could replace this show in the lineup & be an upgrade..Yes, she had "hits", "awards", "notoriety" but that does not mean she should host a television shiw.

Pitiful & Extremely Bad

I was so hoping Hudson would be a refreshing show. I've always liked Hudson and admired her BUT I am shocked at how immature and terribly silly the show is. It just doesn't work. It's essential that this show have a mix of personalities and ages. I've seen nothing that would indicate this description. At that time of day, people of all ages are watching. We need a mature speaker. She does not fit that description. Nothing against her personally. Hudson has a narcissistic approach (using self words, e.g. I, I, I & me, me, me). It's just way too much of nothing words and phrases. Nothing of substance. Her voice is good and maybe she could go back to recording music. Worst show ever!!!

First and last time. One night only!

I came for Mimi. This was the first and last time. Don't get me wrong, Jhud is a phenomenal singer. The show is awkward; she is so shy and meek. I feel like I am watching her pretend to be a pasture's young daughter. Movies get a rating of R, PG13, PG, or G. I don't think you can go lower than G, but if so, she would get it. It seems contrived, and I came here to see if other people watch this. I will think of this when I hear her sing, and it will be a sad moment. If she were to read these reviews, that, too, would be heartbreaking. No one deserves to be shamed or put down. I hope this review doesn't do that, but hopefully, she will learn to let this gig go.

Who thought this was a good fit?

I don't want to speculate how Jennifer Hudson was hired for this show. Initially I was happy for her but after watching just a few episodes I was left feeling alienated as a viewer.

Her over acting comes across insincere with her guests. She comes across very immature.. The Ebonics for her is a constant, like she is working to drive only one message home. I initially called it ghetto speaking. I couldn't say if this is fake for her but it comes across fake and insincere.

She doesn't appear to truly connect with her guests.

She also comes across VERY MUCH into herself which makes me nauseous. I immediately change the channel because I literally despise this show.

Just another talk show that does nothing

I wanted to like it, I really did. I like J. Hudson, but she is NOT a good fit to be a talk show host. Just because someone is famous doesn't mean they can be good at everything. If I have that channel on, every time I have to switch it to the Kelly Clarkson show, and she actually isn't much better - just a smidge. The talk show forum is too saturated, and people are looking for the next Oprah (before she interviewed Harry and Meghan Markle because that was a disaster) or Ellen (again before she became a huge bully). You need someone quick on their feet, gabby, has charisma and charm, but can be a tad biting if need be. So this show is not it, nor are the others.

A breath of fresh air

There are many TV shows on today that have a lot of gossip with out any substance however, Jennifer's show is quite inspiring and also, it's very refreshing. She inspires us to dream and not let anyone stop you from your dreams. I appreciate how she encourages us to live in the moment; especially since tomorrow is not promise for anyone. She is great at listening to her guests and makes you feeling like you're sitting in her living room having a chat.

I love how she brings young and unknown talent to her shows; showing how she appreciates her own journey. This show is such a breath of fresh air.

It's "OK" if you watch it muted from behind.

When I sit down to watch JHud, I press the "Mute" button on the remote and turn my back to the television. She's a terrible talk show host. She has no personality, all her questions are canned and boring, it looks like she doesn't have a wardrobe stylist. The topics are dull and she tends to keep things very bland. It's a cookie cutter format with interviews, musical guests, and audience interactions. The audience is very clearly coached and well prepped. They make a point to diversify the audience so it literally looks like the United Nations which is fine but they didn't just flow in that way. They're trained to react with their smiles and nods, laugh on que and to have questions. As most other shows in LA, the audience members are paid participants and they do their best to act like they're enjoying the show. Hudson seems to be trying to prove to viewers and sponsors that she's so fantastic. Watching her interact with the audience on a Q&A segment was like watching a scene in a really bad high school play. Everyone praised everything about her as they asked for advice or something. They had the audience just pouring it on in that episode, thanking Jennifer for all she does for this community or that cause and all of humankind. Throughout the episode, she urged the audience to agree with how great everything is. For the amount of interaction the audience has, I'm sure they were compensated fairly well. In this particular episode she at some point transitions into a nun with an afro and a nun choir appears. Jennifer acts confused and dazed as she's coaxed into the performance of a lifetime (in her mind I believe). She does the whole Sister Act routine and praised herself many times afterward. Pretending to be Whoopi Goldberg on her own boring talk show really seemed like the highlight of her career at that moment. I would skip this show and watch Sherri instead.

I enjoy watching Jennifer. The face expressions that she makes are funny she's uplifting, always smiling, joyful, and her show is clean

I appreciate that her show is a family type show no cussing and it's appropriate for children. I like her wardrobe. She always stresses so nice and covers her top not like the other TV host. I try to watch her every day. I hope her show can stay on the air. Seems like when there is a clean show on it gets removed. Keep up the good work Jennifer keep being yourself that black dress with the silver around the waist was so pretty you are beautiful inside and out. I wonder what is the real length of your hair you have so many hair styles they all look really good. Have a blessed and wonderful day.

Poor English

Jennifer Hudson is an extremely talented singer. I love her songs but you can't understand half the things she says on her talk show, her grammar is atrocious. She uses contractions, slang and garbles her words.

As a talk show host she needs to learn how to enunciate. I've actually had to put captions on so it types up the word it thinks she's saying because she's not understandable. Her guess are entertaining and that is the only reason I watch the show but when she does her introduction rambling I leave the room.

I can't believe her producers don't realize that she's not understandable when she speaks and talk to her about it it could be easily corrected.

Jennifer Hudson is Fake and Annoying

Oh man. Where do I start. From the moment "JHud" walks onto the set she is over the top and fake. I don't know why she is still on television. She tries to compensate for her complete lack of personality by being loud and wearing flashy outfits.

Even as she looks at guests, it seems like she's looking through them and just waiting for her opportunity to speak. I have doubts as to whether she even wants to be there most of the time. I don't think this show is going to last, she just isn't it. I'm not sure I've ever been more annoyed by a TV Show. I quit simply won't watch but I really wanted to warn the rest of you to avoid it too.

I can't understand a word she says. It's hard to enjoy a talk show when the one doing the talking sounds like she's speaking another language. This show is geared toward one demographic, and I doubt it will last very long. I give it a year, but even that may be too long.

The drill stare she gives her couch guests is very disturbing. I can just imagine what the guests are thinking when she's looking at them like a lunatic! Ease up a little Jennifer. Your whole life doesn't depend on what each guest says! Lol. Maybe she should take some acting and diction lessons. I mean, it couldn't hurt, and would help the audience!

Done watching you play these boring games.

Hey I'm from Chicago also and use to work with her cousin. Never met Jennifer but from the pictures her cousin showed me she is really family friendly. I've tried to watch your show but it's very boring. You play too many childish games for me. I saw one of your audience members when you guys played pictionary and she had a very bored and disappointing look on her face. AND SO DID I. I am done watching the show, it's not for me. The things you do on the show has no substance. Your guest are great, my favorite was Chaka, but you as a host isn't cutting it. I love your singing. What an amazing gift God has given you. My love for Jennifer goes back to the American Idol! Even tho she didn't win ! It was ok I just knew I would have a chance to see her grow & prosper! I'm so very proud of you for everything & all she have done & still doing!! I can say with her loss to Fantasia , gave me the chance to be able to meet Tasha , later after the show she & her family moved to Charlotte & her little brother Xzavier happen to play little league football with our son Jalen, so I'm so grateful to getting to know her & her family . This review is all about my baby girl Jennifer so to say the least! I'm so Excited to see her blossom especially with having her own shoe ! I call her my little Oprah! Very sweet , loving & giving ! I'm sure her mom is smiling at her. May she RIP! I honestly adored you in Dream girls! The whole cast are part of my favs. So sweetheart keep up the great work I'm a big supporters. I'm actually playing catch up because I didn't even know you had a show ! Girl my life is so busy I'm married to my wonderful husband of 36 yrs. We have 3-amazing children , & out of the oldest two we have been blessed with a son in law , daughter in law & 6 beautiful grands!! 4- boys & 2-girls! I'm a full time cosmetologist/hair dresser owner of a loft within Salon lofts. So yes I'm pretty busy. So yes you & your show put me in a relaxing space ! Most of my time I get so caught up in your show. That I have to literally pull myself away from the tv . But I enjoy every minute!

Jennifer is out of her lane

This woman can sing without a doubt. She cannot talk. Her diction is horrendous ("They wear they best outfits."). I have lived near Chicago and her accent is not about Chicago! It is impossible to watch more than 30 seconds of this show before losing track of what she is trying to say. There is only one reason they picked her for a show and we all know what that reason is. There are more dignified and qualified young women out there (of all colors) who are deserving of the right to "talk" for a living. Proper English required. Jennifer needs to stay in her lane, singing for the world and leave the talk show genre to those who know how to speak properly.

Changed my life

Jennifer Hudson, truly changed my life, after watching her in Dreamgirls. I used to think a woman my size could not be confident in ones self. I am 58 years old overweight and more confident, do I want to lose weight yes I do. In Dreamgirls she let them know that she may not look like a barbie doll but still she's beautiful. I love you Jennifer. I will continue love her, music and just love her as women with confidence. If I could meet her in person, I don't know how I would react, because I have never met anyone famous in my entire life. Jennifer you are so pretty and down to earth. I love you.
