Jeff Wadlow has signed onto direct the airplane action thriller ‘Non-Stop’ for Dark Castle, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Details on the plot are still scare, but the the movie will reportedly focus on an air marshal who experiences an ordeal while flying on a domestic flight. The ‘Never Back Down’ director discovered first-time writers John Richardson and Chris Roach, who have been hired to pen the script for ‘Non-Stop.’ Joel Silver, Andrew Rona and Alex Heineman are producing the thriller. CBS has added two drama pilots to its slate: The Doctor, a medical/family drama from Privileged creator Rina Mimoun, and Hail Mary, a buddy Pi show from writer Jeff Wadlow. The Doctor, which originally landed at CBS in August with a put pilot commitment, centers on a mother who reconnects with her adult children when she joins the family medical practice. Mimoun, who is under an overall deal at Wbtv, is the writer-executive producer. I hear this is one of 3 projects top pilot director David Nutter, aka "the pilot whisperer," is considering for his pilot directing gig this year. CBS has been aggressive in pursuing medical shows this development season as launching a successful medical franchise is a priority for the network. The Doctor is the second medical drama project picked up to pilot so far, following the order to Susannah Grant's supernatural medical show. Hail Mary, which is co-produced by Silver Pictures,...

Exclusive: On the heels of his first pilot order last season, CBS' The Odds, Jeff Wadlow has landed two projects this season, Hail Mary at CBS and Rush at the CW. Both are from Warner Bros. TV and Silver Pictures, which also produced The Odds. Hail Mary is about a female P.I. in the South who partners with her murdered son's best friend. Rush is about undercover cops working the New York nightclub scene. Wadlow is writing and executive producing both projects with an eye to direct the potential pilots. Beau Bauman is also producing. The Odds, a buddy cop show set in Las Vegas, was considered a solid pilot whose second cut tested well. It became known as "the other Vegas buddy show" as CBS also had the Vegas-set light legal drama pilot The Defenders, which ultimately got picked up to series. Wme-repped Wadlow's feature credits include Cry Wolf and Never Back Down.

Executive producer and former star Zach Braff has brought bad news to "Scrubs" fans. Answering questions about the fate of the ABC dramedy, he recently wrote in his Facebook page, "Many of you have asked, so here it is: it appears that 'New Scrubs', 'Scrubs 2.0', 'Scrubs with new kids', 'Scrubbier', 'Scrubs without Jd' is no more. It was worth a try, but alas... it didn't work."
The 34-year-old's statement added to speculation that the series is canceled after the writers tweeted last Thursday, March 18, "ScrubsWriters out!" In the same post, the team wrote, "Whatever happens in the future, we'll let you guys know. Thanks for watching & letting us have the best job in the world (after astronaut)."
E! News moreover noted that series regular Donald Faison is committed to play a lead homicide detective in a CBS pilot titled "The Odds". When asked to comment on...

After many attempts to keep it alive, "Scrubs" is a finally a goner. ABC may not have released an official statement yet but the show's executive producer and former star Zach Braff has decided to share the news via his Facebook.
"Many of you have asked, so here it is," Zach wrote, "it appears that 'New Scrubs', 'Scrubs 2.0', 'Scrubs with new kids', 'Scrubbier', 'Scrubs without Jd' is no more. It was worth a try, but alas... it didn't work. Zb"
The writers team also posted a message on their Twitter, saying "Whatever happens in the future, we'll let you guys know. Thanks for watching & letting us have the best job in the world (after astronaut)." A moment later they wrote, "ScrubsWriters out!" These indications plus the fact that star Donald Faison has been cast in a CBS pilot "The Odds" lean to the cancellation possibility.
Nevertheless,...

It’s no secret we love TV. We watch it, talk about it, review it and generally spend a lot of time with it. So, it should come as no surprise we’re very interested in what new shows may potentially be coming to the networks in the near future.
Fortunately, we don’t have to do a lot of work to find out, and you have to do even less, because the guys and gals at EW have gathered together lists of all of the 2010-2011 season pilot orders for ABC, CBS and NBC. Wasn’t that nice of them? Yes, yes it was.
Just between these three networks (we’ll bring you Fox and the others, including cable, later), 31 dramas and 29 comedies are being considered. What shows will make it to the Fall schedule is still anyone’s guess, and we’ll have to wait until May to find out,...

CBS may have created two of the most popular new series this season - NCIS: La and The Good Wife - but the network still has some bare spots to contend with (we hardly knew ye, Three Rivers!) Not one to stray from its bread and butter shows, the network's got a Criminal Minds spinoff in the works plus a new project from CSI honcho Carol Mendelsohn, but all eyes are on its redux of Hawaii Five-o starring Lost's Daniel Dae Kim. And don't think CBS is resting on its laurels with the (unfathomable) success of Gary, Unmarried...

In the latest round of pilot castings, newcomer Ben Rappaport has landed the lead on the NBC comedy "Outsourced," "Scrubs" alum Donald Faison has joined CBS' comedy "The Odds," Autumn Reeser has been cast in ABC's drama "No Ordinary Family," Todd Stashwick has been added to ABC's untitled Dana Gould comedy at ABC, and Natalie Martinez has come aboard ABC's drama "187 Detroit."
"Outsourced," from Ums, is an office comedy about a recently demoted manager (Rappaport) at a novelties company who is shipped to India to manage a ragtag group of customer-service reps.
