Just over a month after Rep. George Santos took office following his victory in the 2022 midterm election, his time in office has been embroiled in scandal as pieces of his background are exposed as lies — a scam that buried a compelling story, CBS News correspondent Caitlin Huey-Burns says.
“A couple of people that we talked to pointed out that the great irony in all of this is that he did have a compelling story to tell,” Huey-Burns told TheWrap while discussing CBS News’ upcoming documentary. “His mother worked really hard to support him and she was an immigrant … People are drawn to that kind of story of coming from nothing and making it to Congress. So why did he feel the need to make up all these other things, and not let voters decide what to think?”
“Campaign of Deceit: The Election of George Santos,” which premieres Tuesday at 8 p.

Spoiler Alert: Do not read ahead if you have not watched Season 7, Episode 6, of “The Masked Singer,” “The Double Mask-Off — Round 2 Finals,” which aired April 13 on Fox.
The mystery of host Nick Cannon’s missing shirt wasn’t solved on Wednesday’s episode of “The Masked Singer,” but the show did send one more disguised celebrity to its final round. That meant that two more contestants were eliminated in a double exit on this week’s show: Duane “Dog the Bounty Hunter” Chapman as the Armadillo, and Jennifer Holliday as Miss Teddy.
Armadillo aka Chapman was voted out after singing the traditional hymn “Amazing Grace.” Previous songs he performed included “Secret Agent Man,” by Johnny Rivers and “I Fought the Law,” by the Bobby Fuller Four.
As for Holliday, as Miss Teddy, she sang “Mercy,” by Duffy. Before that, she performed “Tell It to My Heart,” by Taylor Dayne, and “Tell Me You Love Me,...

Jackky Bhagnani takes another shot at making a place for himself in the hearts of the audiences and in the industry this Friday. This time around under the care of debutant director Syed Ahmad Afzal. Deemed as an unofficial remake of Telugu critically acclaimed film Leader directed by Sekhar Kammula starring Rana Daggubati, Priya Anand and Richa Chaddah, Youngistaan comes wisely placed at the time of Indian elections.
At the outset it has to be agreed that the concept, whether or not inspired by Kammula’s Leader has a lot of merit. Sadly that is the reason why Youngistaan disappoints to a great extent. As an audience member you’re eager to see the journey unfold of a young budding Pm of the largest democracy of the world. You’re as intrigued to find how he’s going to merge the old school thoughts and the youth outlook into one.

Mumbai, April 8: Southern actor Rana Daggubati, who made his Bollywood debut with "Dum Maro Dum" in 2011, has no personal style statement and says his personality is "bits and pieces of the films" that he has done.
Rana, grandson of veteran Telugu film actor-producer D. Ramanaidu and son of producer D. Suresh Babu, started his acting career with 2010 release "Leader".
"After I became an actor, style was kind of defined by the film that I did because most films are extremely genre driven. The first film I did, which was a political drama, so I started looking like a politician in the process of it.
"My second film was 'Dum Maro Dum', where I looked like a goon, hippie... Then came 'Department', where I had a moustache.

A prominent Tamil -Telugu actress, Priya was Rana Daggubati's co-star in his debut film Leader. Since then she has been labeled lucky for her leading men. Apparently, Priya has been signed by Bhagnani for an exclusive 3-film deal on Rana Daggubati's recommendation. If there is one name that is by far one of the most impressive and intimidating, it’s our beloved Big B, Amitabh Bachchan. And for the likes of Department actor, Rana Daggubati, regardless of his filmy background and experience, the nerves take a toll when Big B is around.
“I was very nervous when Amitabh and I were in the same frame,” says Rana when speaking to Times of India. This comes from the same person that hardly had any nerves during his first film, Telugu film Leader. Yet Rana’s confidence and skill on screen has scored him another film with Ram Gopal Varma. Even before the film is released, an idea set in stone. ”We are still developing the idea of the film that Nathalia (Kaur) and I are going to do,” the actor says. It is suspected to be a love story with loads of action.
