Koppleman Jumps The Shark
douglasmcbroom3 April 2022
Quentin Tarantino's over-the-top narration has become tedious.

Brian Koppleman, who has destroyed 'Billions' with his Liberal woke mindset and who lives in that LA-NY Liberal bubble wherein all his friends and associates are woke Liberals and Trump supporters are the stuff you scrape from your shoe, strikes again. He just had to drag Trump into the issue, as well as, portraying Obama's "Wingman" who was found in contempt of Congress and oversaw the US delivering guns to drug cartels, as an unassailable knight in shinning armor. Trump had absolutely nothing to do with Kalanick's calamitous fall. Including him is just a gratuitous, unwelcome, unnecessary Trump dump.

I have consistently rated this series as 8 stars until this episode when the wokester azzzholes threaten to overshadow the story with the incessant insertion of their political ideology, as they do with every series and movie they make. Hollywood is eating itself alive, but they can't see it from inside the bubble. This is the crowd that gave Will Smith a standing O, AFTER the slap.

Otherwise, this episode features the wheels coming off Uber and the shine coming off of Kalanick. Uma Thurman continues her dead-on lampoon of the vacuous Arianna Huffington. They should wrap the series up in next week's season finale and not try and stretch it into a Season 2.

What are these writers thinking? I can't stop laughing.

Blaming trump for surge pricing is hilarious. I'm strictly hate watching at this point. Thank God I don't subscribe to showtime. These writers are insane. And that's being nice about it. A microcosm and a case study for everything wrong with Hollywood.

When you go Woke you go Broke!

Now the BS begins. I don't know how much of the story is true. I do know the President Trump had absolutely nothing to do with fall of the UBER CEO. Why so much of the episode was involved with that explains how poor the writing in Hollywood has become. The only saving grace of the episode is Uma Thurmans portrayal of Arianna Huffington. She should win an Emmy for performance of this character. Besides Kyle Chandler as Bill Gurley the acting is pretty poor. I will not be watching the rest of the series.
