Los Angeles, Feb 12 (Ians) ‘Mr Bean’ star Rowan Atkinson, who has previously played the titular hapless secret agent in three movies in the spy spoof franchise ‘Johnny English’ will return for a fourth installement.
He featured in ‘Jhonny English’, ‘Johnny English Reborn’, and 2018’s ‘Johnny English Strikes Again’.
The movie will be shot in the summer in the UK and Malta, but the plot details are being kept under wraps, according to Screendaily. Details about the project are largely unknown, but Working Titles Films will produce for the fourth time, reports aceshowbiz.com.
While promoting the third movie in the series, Atkinson said he thought a fourth installment would be unlikely.
Speaking during a Reddit Ama (Ask Me Anything), he said: “I doubt it but thank you very much for implying you’d like to see another one. But at the same time… never say never.”

The fourth instalment of spy comedy Johnny English starring Rowan Atkinson is set to commence filming in Malta and the UK in June.
The plot is currently under wraps but Atkinson will return as the inept MI7 agent. The actor had previously implied there would not be another film after 2018’s Johnny English Strikes Again.
Working Title will produce the fourth instalment. Previous films in the series were co-produced by Studiocanal and distributed by Universal Pictures, but this has yet to be confirmed for the fourth film.

Opening in theaters and on VOD July 14, Vertical’s “The Modelizer” offers a trailer that sells a romantic comedy that’s part of a new wave of “Hong Kong Films,” which are original features where the subject matter is distinctly Hong Kong but is in English.
Directed by Keoni Waxman and produced, written by and starring Byron Mann (who has seemingly aged about ten minutes since playing Ryu in the 1994 “Street Fighter” movie), the picture is a conventional mix of rom-com tropes (a well-off womanizer must change his ways once he finds someone – played by Rayssa Bratillieri — worth settling down for) and wealth porn, with the obvious hook being that it’s from a locale that isn’t often presented in such a fashion in mainstream Hollywood flicks.
The locale is usually for stranger-in-a-strange-land actioners like Dwayne Johnson’s “Skyscraper” (who co-starred Mann) and Rowann Atkinson’s “Johnny English Reborn...

Time is running out to stream films like “Lincoln,” “The Fisher King” and “He Got Game” on HBO Max. Below is the complete list of everything leaving HBO and HBO Max in January 2022, which includes some classic “Planet of the Apes” films, Ben Affleck’s Oscar-winning “Argo” and 1988’s “Married to the Mob,” among others. Most of these titles leave the streaming service on Jan. 31, but departing HBO and HBO Max on Jan. 20 is a behind-the-scenes look at Guillermo del Toro’s new film “Nightmare Alley,” which is exclusively in theaters now.
If you’re looking for noteworthy titles to add to your watchlist before they depart, “Lincoln” is one of Steven Spielberg’s best, “Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy” is a handsome and nail-biting spy thriller and “The Fisher King” is a great two-hander with Jeff Bridges and Robin Williams.
Check out the full list of what’s leaving HBO Max in January 2022 below.

Back when WarnerMedia (which technically no longer exists in the same form) announced that it would be premiering its entire slate of 2021 films on HBO Max, this is the kind of month they likely had in mind. For HBO Max’s list of new releases in August 2021 is highlighted by an honest-to-goodness blockbuster.
The Suicide Squad is set to premiere Aug. 5 on HBO Max. This film featuring some of DC Comics’ most curious villains borrows its name, format, and many of its characters from the David Ayers-directed 2016 film Suicide Squad. This time around, the rogues gallery is directing by James Gunn (Guardians of the Galaxy) and his colorful disposition. In addition to The Suicide Squad, August sees the arrival of the Hugh Jackman-starring Reminiscence on Aug. 20.

Set in the very near future where scientists have discovered a method of matching people with their perfect romantic fit using DNA, eight-part Netflix Original The One is technically a sci-fi drama. Really though, it’s a crime thriller revolving around the murky circumstances in which the cash cow company behind the matching service was created. Written by Misfits and Crazyhead creator Howard Overman, The One is based on the 2017 novel of the same name by John Marrs. It’s a cat-and-mouse game between wealthy, driven CEO Rebecca (Hannah Ware) and police detective Kate (Zoë Tapper).
While you’re solving the show’s mysteries, we’ve taken the liberty of solving that nagging background question of where you might have seen its cast on screen before…

Actress Rosamund Pike has warned we are “losing our grip on what we really look like” as she revealed her breasts and eyes have been doctored for movie promotions:
The star of "Gone Girl", "I Care a Lot" and revealing pictorials for various lifestyle and fashion magazines, said her breasts were 'augmented' for the "Johnny English Reborn" (2011) movie poster and in 2019 her eyes were changed to brown in promotional material for the 'Marie Curie' feature "Radioactive".
"In the poster for the character shot in 'Johnny English Reborn', I've got a very impressive chest — which I don't have," she said.
"And for 'Radioactive', strangely, they made my eyes brown, which I still don’t quite know why."
Pike said the whole thing was "odd" and it made her wonder if people always know when their image has been altered.

Rosamund Pike is currently enjoying a global audience with the Netflix hit “I Care a Lot,” in which she stars as a shady legal guardian who drains the bank accounts of her elderly wards. Recent press has afforded her the opportunity to look back at her career as an Oscar nominee for “Gone Girl,” and more, including a role in the 2011 action comedy “Johnny English Reborn.” Speaking virtually on “The Kelly Clarkson Show,” Pike took the chance to address an issue she’s hinted at before, which is her body being altered and photoshopped for the poster of that movie.
“For the poster for Johnny English [Reborn], my breasts were augmented,” she said. “In the poster for the character shot, I have got a very impressive chest, which I don’t have.”

Exclusive: Gillian Anderson, who can be seen on Netflix’s The Crown as Margaret Thatcher, has signed with UTA.
The Hollywood talent agency has signed the actress, who broke through in Fox’s The X-Files, in all areas. Deadline understands that Anderson had been without a U.S. agent but over the course of her career has been represented by WME and CAA.
It is a hot signing for UTA with Anderson scoring plaudits for her role in the British royal drama. She stars as the former Prime Minister alongside Olivia Colman and Helena Bonham-Carter in the fourth season of the show, which was created by Peter Morgan.
Anderson told Deadline earlier this year that she never hesitated at the prospect of playing a Pm who many consider tyrannical. “No hesitation at all,” she said. “There are a few things in life where, if they come your way, you just...

This Sunday’s a pretty notable one for Netflix as the streaming giant has just added three big, but totally different, movies. One is an Oscar-winning smash hit, another is a franchise-starting British comedy and the third is a big budget fantasy mega-flop. Let’s go through them in chronological order, shall we?
First off, 2003’s Johnny English drops on Netflix today. Mr. Bean’s Rowan Atkinson stars as the titular bumbling British spy in this James Bond spoof that eventually formed a trilogy – with 2011’s Johnny English Reborn and 2018’s Johnny English Strikes Again, which were both just as commercially successful. In this one, though, English must stop evil Pascal Sauvage (John Malkovich) from seizing the throne.
What’ll no doubt be the most popular of today’s releases with subscribers is 2012’s Les Miserables. One of the biggest movies of that year – but also one of the most...

Today is March 1st, which means we have a whole new set of titles to tell you about that just dropped on Netflix. The streaming service has 54 new movies/TV shows from nearly every major studio, including Warner Bros., Paramount and Sony, and while that number is still ten less than what we got last March, there’s far more original content on the service than there was a year ago. So, trust me when I say you’ve got plenty of options.
So many options, in fact, that I often find myself browsing for so long that I can’t decide on what to watch until it gets too late and I go to bed instead. First world problems, right?
In any case, below you’ll find the full list as well as a few descriptions of some personal favorites. Or some that I just felt like commenting on.

Asia’s one of the most culturally and architecturally-rich continents in the world. Cultures with a long history such as the Chinese, Korean, Indian, and Japanese are all sharing this large continent. This makes Asia a very diverse piece of the world, an aspect that can be noticed when looked at their landmarks. Some of the most eye-catching locations in the world are hosted in Asia.
Some of these places are often making it in the movies too. Asia makes its own movies too, many of these popular locations being showcased naturally. However, when it comes to Hollywood, Asia is not the focus of the movies. Still, there’s a handful of popular locations that are often appearing in Occidental movies, such as the following ones.

Rowan Atkinson returns as the titular character of now-retired Johnny English in Johnny English Strikes Again, the latest and hopefully final installment as the quirky, farcical British spy in what has bizarrely become a trilogy of films. Johnny English Strikes Again is the typical venture we’ve all come to know and suspect. The pinnacle of juvenile comedy. An exact carbon copy of each installment before it. Atkinson’s latest does so little to entertain or excite, yet ironically and poetically, does equally as much in terms of effort to stop it becoming a definitive disaster.

Rowan Atkinson will return for a third Johnny English movie, that's expected to be in cinemas in 2018.
Rowan Atkinson is heading back to the big screen, and he’s set to reprise the role of Johnny English in a third movie adventure.
Currently going by the title of Johnny English 3 (although expect that to change), Atkinson’s character is a spoof of James Bond, originating from credit card commercials. But 2003’s Johnny English and 2011’s Johnny English Reborn both did solid box office, and a third movie is now due to start shooting before the year is out.
Pre-production has already begun on the movie, although the full cast has yet to be locked down. Johnny English 3 is expected in cinemas in October 2018.
As we get further details on the movie, we’ll pass them your way…

How deep you roll with classic British television comedies will likely weigh on how much interest you have in "Dad's Army." It's the big screen, semi-star studded take on the series which ran in the late '60s and '70s, and there's no doubt that the humor is in a very particularly English strain. But if you vibe with it, then it looks like the movie will deliver. Bill Nighy, Catherine Zeta Jones, Toby Jones, Daniel Mays, Michael Gambon, Bill Paterson and Tom Courtenay suit up for the Oliver Parker ("Johnny English Reborn") directed movie which finds laughs as World War II is closing out, and a bumbling contingent of the home guard have to find a spy in their midst. Here's the official synopsis: It is 1944 and World War II is reaching its climax. The Allies are poised to invade France and finally defeat the German army. But...

Empire's latest issue isn't all about Star Wars, and to prove it, here's an image from a long time ago but closer to home. We've had a teaser trailer showing them in action, and now here's a closer look at a World War II-era Toby Jones, Bill Nighy, Michael Gambon and company standing to attention in their Dad's Army fatigues. Old England isn't done with these boys on Home Guard.Left to right in this identity parade of misfits, triers and high-street heroes are Jones' blustering bank manager Captain Mainwaring; Nighy's vague Sergeant Wilson; Tom Courtenay not panicking (despite the position of Mainwaring's cane) as the Sudan, Boer and Western Front veteran Lance-Corporal "Mad Bomber" Jones; Bill Paterson as dour Scottish undertaker Private Frazer; Gambon controlling his bladder as the doddery Private Godfrey; Blake Harrison as stupid boy Private Pike; and Daniel Mays as the spivvy Private Walker.Directed by...

There is a certain strand of British comedy that is quite broad and buffoonish and that may weigh on how well the first trailer for "Dad's Army" plays for you. It's based on a Brit comedy of the same name that ran from the late '60s to late '70s, and the first trailer has arrived for the big screen version that, well, maybe your Dad might dig. Bill Nighy, Catherine Zeta Jones, Toby Jones, Daniel Mays, Michael Gambon, Bill Paterson and Tom Courtenay star in the Oliver Parker ("Johnny English Reborn") directed comedy flick set on the tail end of WWII that follows a contingent of the Home Guard who have to track down a spy. Here's the official synopsis: It is 1944 and World War II is reaching its climax. The Allies are poised to invade France and finally defeat the German army. But in Walmington-on-Sea morale amongst the Home Guard is low.

Bill Nighy, Toby Jones and Michael Gambon are the head of Dad's Army in a hilarious new trailer.
Johnny English Reborn filmmaker Oliver Parker's latest comedy is a reboot of the beloved BBC series from the 1960s and '70s.
Dad's Army is set in the waning days of World War II in the small village of Walmington-on-Sea, where Captain George Mainwaring (Jones) is leading a group of volunteers in the Home Guard.
In a bizarre twist of fate, Mainwaring and his men might just become Britain's last line of defence against the Nazis when they discover a spy in their village.
The star-filled cast also includes Catherine Zeta-Jones, Mark Gatiss, Sarah Lancashire, Alison Steadman and Blake Harrison.
Dad's Army opens on February 5, 2016 in UK cinemas.

It's been a while since Mr Hitler crossed swords with Walmington-on-Sea's finest - the last episode of Dad's Army aired in 1977 - but the khaki-clad boys are back in action and desperate to prove they're more than remainder stock while the British Army is out giving the Nazis the old what-for. Mark Gatiss has revealed that he was "sceptical" about the upcoming Dad's Army movie remake.
The Sherlock co-creator and actor will star as Captain Mainwaring's colonel-in-chief in the new version, Radio Times reports.
He promised fans of the original that the remake is "charming" and stays faithful to the classic BBC sitcom.
"I was genuinely sceptical - as I think many people will be - but the script really loves the original," he said.
"It's charming and quite moving at times. People love the original and want to honour it but it has to be its own thing as well. So far I'm having a great time."
Toby Jones is starring as Captain Mainwaring, with Oliver Parker (Johnny English Reborn) directing.
Bill Nighy will play Wilson, with Catherine Zeta-Jones as journalist Rose, Inbetweeners actor Blake Harrison as Pike, Sir Michael Gambon as Godfrey, Daniel Mays as Walker, Sir Tom Courtenay...
