"I used to be proud of who I am, Steph"
skteosk13 September 2010
Warning: Spoilers
This has the potential to be a great episode, with storyline development, character development and decent character interaction. It's not, partly down to a lack of focus and partly down to some terrible plot lines.Toadie and Steph seem to be near the end of their tether with the constant lies, which, as Lyn tellingly points out, will go on forever if the plan works.Toadie's way of demonstrating his frustration is to destroy Harold's legacy, proving once and for all what a poor choice he was to carry it on.

The "Save PirateNet" storyline drags on, with the best part of it, the bickering between Zeke and Donna, being lost amid the ridiculousness of a rapidly organised telethon somehow managing to come up with enough money to keep a radio station running in one afternoon with little or no forward publicity or planning.

With Toadie having blown his cover by hanging around in a park with a wallet full of confidential information within easy reach of any passing master criminal, the scene is set for a storming final scene. What we get instead is a confused mess, with some uneasy slapstick of Toadie failing to get Libby out of the room and the rather bizarre idea that he can keep the truth from her when everyone she knows(or at least everyone in the episode and a few extras she curiously identifies as neighbours)is about to find out anyway. If this doesn't get better, the whole storyline will have been a complete waste of time.
