Caroline Fraissinet had the idea and title for "Curiosity Kills Cat" for 3 years prior to actually writing it, but didn't know how to start. Once she started watching French New Wave films, she decided to take the idea in a completely new direction.
The role of "Cat" was written specifically for Kat Catanakis. The character is based partially on Kat and partially on Caroline. However, the fact that the character and actress have the same name is pure coincidence as the title was created much earlier.
"George-Clooney" was played by Caroline Fraissinet's cat, Tintin.
The portrait of Cat and "George-Clooney" was painted by Mary Petricone specifically for the film.
Cat's wardrobe was made up entirely of Caroline and Kat's own clothing. They are almost the exact same dress size and both love vintage 60s clothing.
