This episode plays out of order with the rest of the second season.
The T-shirt worn by Claudia at the beginning features a picture of the Emotional Attachment Robot shown on Eureka, which Claudia had visited earlier in the season.
Chronologically, this episode fits between Merge With Caution and Vendetta. It aired out of order so that SyFy could run it in December.
The artifact at the center of this episode is a bullet/ship ornament that dated back to World War I. During one scene Pete tells the little girl about the miraculous story of the Christmas Cease Fire of World War I, where both sides of the war stopped firing and came together to celebrate Christmas. The story was a real event that took place on December 24, 1914.
Claudia gives Myka, Pete, Leena, Joshua and Artie t-shirts as Xmas presents, "The Artifact that Almost Killed Me." Respectively, Myka's shirt is the Man Ray's Camera that stole youth, Pete's has the Telegraph Island telegraph that made him hallucinate, Leena's has the Pearl of Wisdom which made her suggestive to Mcpherson, Joshua's has the Rheticus Compass that teleported and trapped him, Artie's has Mata Hari's stockings which causes him to obsess over the wearer, and Claudia's has Godfrid's Spoon which almost caused her to spontaneously combust.
