I suppose, the gratitude is the fair answer to an episode reflecting all details so easy ignored by other adaptations. The freshness is the basic virtue of this version of Great Expectations , in which admirable cast proposes more than the spirit of Charles Dickens masterpiece but a comfortable , gentle manner to feel the story of Pip in precise way.
Adam Blackwood is a beautiful Herbert Pocket and an inspired Mr. Wemmik is proposed, with delicacy and high art by Charles Lewson. You feel it , scene by scene, being a wise exploration of the universe who you know, loving it.
The scenes from residence of Mr. Wemmik are just adorables, reminding classic fairy tales.
