Pass!

Warning: Spoilers
You know those movies that you think will be ok just based off the front photo? Well I was the sucked for thinking this one would be good. Story was childish, I would h8 to think even a teenager would enjoy this movie. The characters were interesting at times and the movie kept your attention. The problem was they did the dumbest things for the stupidest reasons that made me actually h8 this movie. I could not even half like it. The Queen Bee of the story was so annoying, every thing she said made you wish should would just die. But she definitely had the best looks out of anyone in the whole movie. So if you enjoy a pointless, annoying movie with a basic storyline that ends up hitting a brick wall at the end. Then this is a movie for you. For me, I will not recommend this movie and I myself wish I had not watched the WHOLE thing! Great camera work though.

Laughed pretty hard at least two times

Warning: Spoilers
Kate (Bebe Wood) is a romantic high schooler not above wishing that she could have sex immediately. She also has a huge crush on Jason (Nicholas Alexander Chavez), who may not be worth it, and is losing her friendship with her best friend who now has a boyfriend. It's their last trip before graduating and if you've been on one of those bus trips, you know exactly what's going to happen.

This is a post-American Pie teen movie and doesn't spare the grossness, with a shocking vomit scene and anally-induced drugs, including someone shotgunning weed smoke into another person's mouth by farting. So, you know, when you think you've seen it all...you haven't.

The morals of the film are obvious and I liked how Kate reflected on high school closure at the end, just as much as how much I didn't like the coda that basically had her surrounded by vapid club girls and acting just as dumb as them, showing if anything she regressed from the strength and intelligence that she showed throughout the movie. It feels incredibly hollow.

Director Niki Koss started as an actress and has made this movie and Night Night. This was written by Heidi Lux, who also acts and this was her first full-length movie.

There are some genuine laughs in it and I loved the very brief time that Bailey Stender was in this movie. Outside of my very major issue with the film's bookend, it's nice to see teen movies with kids who look like kids and not twentysomething teenagers. There's a fun heart in this and I look forward to what Koss and Lux do next.

Mean Girls Vibe
Oilerpa27 March 2024
This is a pretty good teen RomCom for 2022. It gives off a Mean Girls vibe. I'm sure the producers of the movie musical saw this and thought Bebe Wood was a good fit for the musical. She ended up being one of the popular girls. I'm glad a saw this movie after the watching the musical. I watched it because I saw the musical. Bebe is a rising star and I support anything she is in. She deserves it. Such a great actress. Hope she sticks around Hollywood for awhile.

I like female centric teen movies. There are always male centric movies for teens. Glad the female get their time to shine. This is a must see.

Sets a bad example for teens
millordrak9 April 2022
In addition to being juvenile & annoying, this movie also promotes immorality & bad behavior. Teen movies used to be decent & had a good message. Now they're created to just spread filth & make a quick buck. No wonder today's youth are so screwed up. The talent of these young actors is wasted on this garbage.

Imagination is free, expression is free, creativity is free
bobjective15 April 2022
Human arts should reach and expose all corners, or vertices, or angles of reality. This movie does this in a intrepid, funny way, taking some activities and issues out of where some think we must forget them, in some hard, maybe never accessible, dark corners. It takes courage to show them instead, with a twist of funny inteligent script, appropriate for what really goes through the imaginative mind of a growing adult, who is still learning to separate right from wrong. The movie is purposely infusing both right and wrong, making us reflect, in a funny discrete way, that if we do not dedicate time, and attention to highlighting both, we end up missing on important components of our own freedom. Definitely not a movie for all grandmas, or maybe for all open minded grandmas, this is a movie for the ones that are above the complex of following certain templates, when educating their loved ones. The movie shows respect for human creativity without margins, while serving the purpose of observing what we want, from all aspects that we want, in all areas that we want, and when we want, maintaining our freedom to explore healthy, in both right and wrong, making fun of our own wrong ways, spontaneous, without the fear of some mentality threat, which is another type of narrow template. This movie skilfully stays very far away from comfortable patterns , with a reminder that when exploring the possibilities we have with film creativity, we should be ready to be stirred and excavating, while eliminating our own tendencies to create barriers that tell us to not go there, inviting us to think adventurous and free.

Pretty good
lilpest95 April 2022
Fun girl high school comedy. Brenna has great energy, wish they let her go harder. She was clearly ready to go all out, could've had her climbing all over people like a Daniela Monet. There was a random foot scene but when the other lead tried take her shoes off too everybody yelled at her before she could show her feet to the camera.

The writing is cornball as you'd expect and the acting mostly yelling. Solid fun.
