Although Phoebe Tonkin was in the 2012 shark thriller Bait and the high profile 2022 flop Babylon, most viewers probably know her from her work in television: she has been on multiple episodes H2O: Just Add Water, Home and Away, The Secret Circle, The Vampire Diaries, The Originals, Westworld, Safe Harbour, and more. I just finished watching a Netflix series she was in, Boy Swallows Universe, which I thought was pretty great. Now Tonkin has the lead role in a thriller called Night Shift, which just received a VOD and limited theatrical release today, courtesy of Quiver Distribution. To help you figure out whether or not Night Shift is a movie you’d like to see, we have a clip and the film’s trailer embedded above.

Phoebe Tonkin literally came into our screens and blew us away. Her presence on Television is nearly immortal as we first start seeing her as a spitfire witch in The Secret Circle. Showing us she has much more up her sleeve; the breathtaking actress took us by storm as she played Hayley Marshall, a werewolf in The Vampire Diaries. It was a classic hit that honestly made you want to stay in high school forever. Should I even start on her stellar performance in The Originals? Simply put, it was amazing, and I am still in love with the likes

This post contains spoilers for the entire "Scream" series so far.
With "Scream" (2022) being a major financial and critical success (spawning a sequel that's already wrapped up filming), it's easy to overlook "Scream 4," the standalone entry that failed to revive the series. The 2011 film was a box office disappointment, and with very few new characters surviving, it put the eventual sequel in a tough place. The fifth "Scream" had to establish a whole new set of teen characters all over again, and it tried its best to get us to care about them once it was time to start killing them off.
Despite the fact that "Scream 4" failed to spawn a new trilogy of Scream movies, it's still a worthwhile addition to the franchise. Its main killer is perhaps one of its most surprising and compelling characters the series has had to date, and the movie's skewering of...

Photo: ‘The Republic of Sarah’/CW A Fresh Face for The CW I’ve been a major fan of The CW since I first discovered shows like ‘Gossip Girl’, ‘90210’, and ‘The Secret Circle’, however it seems that the network slowly seemed to shift its target audience over time. It’s no secret that more than half of the shows currently on CW’s roster are in the superhero/fantasy/comic book realm. From ‘DC Legends of Tomorrow’ and ‘The Flash’ to ‘Legacies’ and ‘Riverdale’ which is about to premiere its’ sixth season. In my opinion, the network almost lacks real-life inspired shows. This is why I was delighted to hear of the upcoming series ‘The Republic of Sarah’ created and written by Jeffrey Paul King (‘Elementary’). George R.R. Martin’s Wild Cards, based on the popular book series, is set up at a new home. The project, which had been in development at Hulu since 2018, has moved to Peacock with UCP producing.
The Secret Circle creator Andrew Miller, who was previously attached to write and executive produce, is no longer involved in the project. But UCP, where Miller is under a deal, is currently in development with Miller on various scripted television and podcast projects. A search for a new writer is underway.
In Wild Cards, an alien pathogen known as the Wild Card virus is released over Manhattan in 1946, altering the course of human history. The virus rewrites DNA, mutating its survivors. A lucky few are granted awe-inspiring superpowers, while the sad majority are left with often repulsive physical deformities.
Martin, Melinda Snodgrass and Vince Gerardis, who co-edited the books with Martin, will executive produce.

Whether we love them wholeheartedly or as guilty pleasures, Young Adult books make for great reading and TV material.
Unfortunately, TV is prone to making the same adaptational mistakes with Ya books as they are with any other type of literature.
Fortunately, TV is always searching for it next teen hit, so there's plenty of opportunities to finally give these Ya books a proper TV adaptation.
Let start with Pretty Little Liars because even though it aired for seven seasons, there's quite a demand for a redo.
Compared to the TV version, the Pretty Little Liars books, written by Sara Shepard, had far more substance.
For one thing, the books were much better plotted whereas the TV series was nonsensical.
The books were much better in how it depicted mental health.
Despite its great casting, the TV series did a huge disservice to the characters. The TV show radically changed...

Unless you are a true movie buff the name Grey Damon might come as a new song to your ears. Probably because the bearer of the name is covertly humble and tries as much as he can to stay away from the cameras, unless it’s for a movie shoot. Grey Damon has appeared in various films such as Station 19 which is a Grey’s Anatomy spin-off, The Secret Circle, The Flash, and Aquarius. While there is no denying that Grey Damon is slowly but surely climbing up the ladder of success, he is unlike most of the other upcoming stars.

When you’re a teenager, every little crisis feels like the end of the world. And when you’re a teen TV junkie, every cancellation can be just as crushing.
For every One Tree Hill and Beverly Hills, 90210 — two shows that ran long enough to see their high school-aged characters grow into successful, shark-jumping adults — there are countless teen dramas that were tragically (criminally, even!) robbed of that same opportunity. And since you’re probably running out of old shows to binge at this juncture in your quarantine, TVLine has assembled a handy guide to some teen treasures worth excavating.

Hawaii Five-0 may be about to wrap up its 10 season run but one cast member has already lined up their return to the small screen.
Meaghan Rath has been added to the cast of CBS comedy pilot Jury Duty, which comes from 9Jkl co-creator Dana Klein and writer Stephanie Darrow.
Rath will appear opposite the previously cast Jack Cutmore-Scott for the potential series which follows a group of jurors being sequestered together until they reach a verdict.
Unfortunately for them, they can't even agree on what to eat. It's a convincing hook for a series, but it doesn't scream longevity.
According to Deadline, Rath is playing Jen, a "sarcastic, adorably neurotic and a little controlling" book editor.
Rath has been a part of the Hawaii Five-0 cast for three seasons, but CBS recently announced the series would wrap up after 10 seasons this April.

Hulu has just secured the rights to George R.R. Martin’s sci-fi superhero franchise Wild Cards, which is a book series that he curates and edits. This is said to be a multiple-series deal, so Hulu may have found their own epic franchise.
According to THR, Hulu is putting together a writers room where they will create and build and Wild Cards series universe. There will at least be two series developed and Andrew Miller (The Secret Circle) will be writing those series.
Just in case you’re not familiar with Wild Cards, here’s a story description for you. This actually sounds like it could be a pretty awesome show if the right team of talent comes together to develop it:
Set in the present, the series explores the aftermath of an alien virus, released over Manhattan in 1946 that killed 90 percent of those it infected. In the survivors, DNA was altered,...
