Wonderful

When I can watch an event hinted at in the first episode but understand the two characters involved so much that I completely get why they would make conflicting decisions after the same event in the sixth then you know that a show has succeeded in writing fully formed characters, who I might not agree with but at least sympathize with. An incredibly fulfilling episode taking place largely in flashback to Darby and bills completion of their serial killer case, framed narratively by Darby reading her own book. I thought this was another fantastic ep on what may up being my show of the year in a year of succession and the bear. Let's hope it sticks the landing.

Chapter 6

Warning: Spoilers
We still have a few episodes left so I found it kind of strange that they rushed a lot of reveals and answers (or were they red herrings?) in this one.

But finally we got a sense of what is going on, and of how evil Andy possibly is. We also got an answer to what happened at the house, something that may or may not have significance down the road.

This show has been pretty good overall, but I am still not quite sure if they will give us a satisfying end. I also worry that we may not get a good trick of it turns out Andy is the bad guy and we got all the key reveals already ahead of the finale.

Chapter 6: Crime Seen

The penultimate episode is exposition heavy. Lee and David come to the rescue of Darby who was unconscious in the pool.

Lee wanted to see Darby in the pool area because Andy does not have it all under surveillance.

Lee tells Darby how controlling Andy has been as a husband and father. The mansion in Iceland, is effectively a prison for the two. Andy wants to control his son Zoomer.

The episode very much paints Andy as the villain of the piece, but could this be a red herring?

Some part of Lee's story did not add up. Like when she made plans to escape from Andy, it was unsuccessful. Maybe she is an unreliable narrator.

Once again the episode is flashback heavy. Just what did happen when Darby and Bill confronted the serial killer.

It is not a great episode but at least the end is in sight.
