The Jensen Ackles Ace Card
nightringer-7684021 May 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Big Sky S02 is definitely getting boring, too drama filled, less mystery and action. The the last episode kicked in for S02 and the Jensen Ackles factor kicked in. The charming sheriff replacement character is fitting well to deliver shock, unexpected twists and jerked me a wake up call promised of a better S03.

Jensen Ackles is certainly a highly paid actor to kick life to any dying series.

Jensen yesss!!

Warning: Spoilers
I don't know what this persons deal above me with Jensen is but he's way off and obviously not a supernatural fan. Anyone who is a die hard fan loves him. He's a great actor and he really adds to this show. I'm super excited they brought him on. I honestly was getting over this show but with him on it now I will keep watching.

Jensen Ackles!
Gulielmus-Princeps1 September 2022
I'm going to be real here you guys, I only watched this mess for Jensen Ackles, and I will watch season 3 for one reason only: Jensen Ackles.

Even without having seen the previous episodes, a good show should absolutely pull you in (or make you somewhat interested) if the writing is good and the characters are compelling. Big Sky... does not do that. The writing, at least in this season finale, seems... well, not quite "bad" but certainly not good!

Luckily, King Jensen is here. Anyone intelligent and with a keen eye can tell that Mr. Ackles is an exceptional guy and a fine actor. His on-screen presence immediately elevates whatever he's in. He reminds me of one of my favourite 80s actors (I won't say who, hehe!) who, just like Jensen, could elevate any film or show he found himself in just by virtue of being, well, himself. Yes, he is that good, at least in my opinion.

Time will tell whether this show will retain my interest, but I hope that the writers have had some time to get it together and deliver better quality this upcoming season. The decision to make Jensen Ackles a series regular was a smart one, and maybe some other casting choices for S3 will also help.

As for the review by "bobleb" berating Mr. Ackles, all I can say is that this person's judgement of anything concerning actors, cinema and/or television cannot be trusted and should therefore be taken with a grain of salt. This individual's rating of "Dial M for Murder" is ridiculous; even if they didn't enjoy that movie, no one of sound mind could possibly think that the writing, the characters and the plot were so bad so as to rate it 4/10. And who gives a 1 star rating to "Casino Royale"? This person has a distorted understanding of what makes good cinema/television.

Jensen is in it
wallstrdeb20 May 2022
Jensen Ackles is great in it! Welcome! He is an actor who can play diverse roles. He is humble, vulnerable, even though he is in charge, he does not lord it over anyone, quite the opposite. He has a way of charming and disarming!

Wow Jensen is here 😍

Jensen is the best thing that has ever happened to this show. He is a great actor and can save this show. Can't wait to see his background story lines. About Beau's family and the cases he had worked on.

Episode 218

Warning: Spoilers
So, the new character was not all bad, but this did not feel like a finale at all. They didn't do a good job wrapping anything up and everything felt anticlimactic.

[6.5] Laced and dragged
cjonesas20 June 2023
Warning: Spoilers
An average season in two parts, one mostly developed, one less developed and sort of under-developed, both with good acting and not by the main cast, but by the supporting cast and mainly the antagonists. The music, score and soundtrack sort of awful and way too much, especially the romantic-melodramatic songs, the flow and vibe sort of cutoff, laced and not enough and 18 uneven episodes for those storyline acts not equitable; the ending, better not talk about it.

Introducing new characters in the last episode is just plain shame professionally. I really am not surprised it got cancelled after season 3. The first season was the best and should have ended there.

Oh geez, even a no-talent pretty boy can't save this.

I have to laugh at all the reviews here for this clumsy and useless season finale. These so-called reviews only focus on the alleged reviewers' giddiness over the sudden appearance of Dean Winchester... I mean Jensen Ankles... I mean grab your ankles... I mean Jensen Ackles. All these fanboys with man crushes and lonely spinsters claim he's a "great actor", but this clown has never acted in his life. He just plays himself in everything he's ever been in, including about 18 years on Stupidnatural. He merely recites the words from a script while being himself. That doesn't qualify as acting. There's certainly no range or stretch for him. But there are plenty of attractive women on this show (Lagertha, Cassie, Ren Buller, Meadow Soprano and Deedee Pfieffer) so they had to add at least one attractive guy. Deputy Poppernak sure wasn't doing it.

As for the female leads, they're supposed to be tough women but they get all giddy and act stupid when they are around a handsome guy. Even the actor who played Travis, who has a woefully underdeveloped physique and a chest like a nine-year-old, made Cassie do a lot of idiotic things. This show is extremely hokey. There's no need for a season three.
