By now, you may or may not have heard about this video surfacing online yesterday that features Marilyn Manson and Lana Del Rey being raped by Eli Roth. When the video surfaced, many were outraged and the video has been pulled a few times now only to pop right back up under another YouTube account. Before you ask on why this is being covered on the site, I think it is important because of the involvement with Eli Roth – whether you like him or not. Below, I have embedded the video – which as of publishing is still online. It’s Nsfw and can be very disturbing given the content. If the video that I embedded has been pulled by now, just do a search online under “Sturmgruppe” and I’m sure you’ll find it. Once you are done watching the video, let’s talk about it.

During Marilyn Manson's Halloween show at the Roxy in Los Angeles last Friday, audience members were treated to Johnny Depp jumping up on stage to play guitar for Manson's hit song, "The Beautiful People." Die Antwoord's Ninja also joined the party up on stage to rock out.
This wouldn't be the first time that Depp and Manson played together. Back in 2012 they performed a cover of The Eurythmics' "Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This)" at the 4th Annual Revolver Golden Gods Awards. The two also collaborated a cover of Carly Simon’s “You’re So Vain,” which is a bonus song on Manson’s 2012 album “Born Villain.” I didn't realize how much Depp has been getting around as a guitarist. Apparently this year he has also played with guitar with Aerosmith, Paul McCartney, Willie Nelson, Butch Walker, and more. You can tell in this video that the actor is having a blast doing it.

Marilyn Manson will have a recurring role on the upcoming season of FX's hit biker drama, Sons of Anarchy, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The musician will portray a fittingly outrageous character: Ron Tully, a white supremacist who uses his reputation as a prison big shot to help Jax (Charlie Hunnam) expand his power base.

Amber Heard looked like one proud fiancée when she attended one of Johnny Depp's shows in Anaheim, CA, over the weekend. Johnny took to the stage at Servite Catholic High School for a special charity concert that included appearances by Marilyn Manson, Alice Cooper, and Steven Tyler. Amber stood just off the stage from Johnny, where she flashed her massive engagement ring while recording her beau's performance on her iPhone. During Johnny's performance, Amber chatted with a friend and Marilyn, who has been friends with Johnny since he was a teenager. The two have even worked together on a music project, having recorded a cover of "You're So Vain" for Marilyn's 2012 album, Born Villain. News broke earlier this month that Johnny and Amber are engaged. The notoriously private couple has been dating since 2012, but they only recently started to go more public with their love as they posed for...

Actor/director Shia Labeouf caught our attention a while back with his graphic music video for Marilyn Manson's “Born Villain.” His latest visual opus is not as scandalous, but still contains a few decidedly shocking moments. The video for “Haunted Love,” a single from the dark synth-pop band Future Unlimited, becomes an exploration of abusive relationships, as seen from a distorted, nightmarish perspective. Labeouf had recently been working with Lars Von Trier (Antichrist) on the upcoming film Nymphomaniac, and their association had an influence on the final product. “I started throwing him ideas of a scene, not for a video,” Shia explains. “This led of course to other topics, domestic abuse in history and so on... he was very encouraging towards my wanting to explore topics like this myself behind the camera. So between the magic of timing and having a genius as a bounce board, I wrote a script and contacted the band.

It's a dilemma all music lovers face: narrowing down a list of your all-time favorite albums. Even restricting myself to just the past year, it's quite a challenge... mainly because it's been a damn fine year for dark, spooky and horror-related music. Not only have some well-known bands rediscovered their mojo or improved on an already strong track record, but I've also discovered dozens of new artists who rock the darker, more obscure corners of the music biz, and many of them belong on this list right alongside their more high-profile peers. I'm also pretty sure you'll be hearing a lot more from them in 2013 and beyond. Bear in mind a couple of things before diving in: this list is alphabetical, and not necessarily in order of preference (because I always have a shit time trying to settle on my favorite anything); and this list is confined to horror-related or darker-themed music,...

The video for Marilyn Manson's "Slo-Mo-Tion" opens with the following warning: "This video may contain offensive imagery." Which feels more like a limp assertion of Manson's waning credentials as a legitimately transgressive pop-cultural force than a true attempt at protecting our nation's children, if you ask me. The forty-something shock-rocker is up to the same old shtick he's been peddling for two decades now in the brand-new clip - the second from his most recent album "Born Villain" - in which his stabs at edginess include such beaten-to-death motifs as creepy headgear, beautiful topless women, twisted displays of androgyny, firearm worship and,...

Marilyn Manson has admitted that he is not a big fan of Lady GaGa's music. GaGa has openly credited Manson as an influence and he appeared on the Chew Fu Ghettohouse Fix remix of her 'LoveGame' single in 2009.

In honor of Depp's performance with the Black Keys, we take a look back at his lifelong love affair with rock.

As if his myriad of tattoos or swaggering, Keith Richards-indebted performances as Captain Jack Sparrow weren't proof enough, Johnny Depp's MTV Movie Awards jam session with the Black Keys definitely served notice that the Hollywood icon knows a thing or two about rock.
Of course, that Sunday-night performance — in lieu of a traditional acceptance speech for his MTV Generation Award, Depp opted instead to tear through a pair of tunes with the Keys — was just his latest rock and roll moment. Long before he was a big-screen star, music was Depp's first passion ... not to mention the reason he moved to Los Angeles in the first place.

Universal City, California — The Black Keys brought Johnny Depp's inner rock star front and center on the stage at Sunday's (June 3) MTV Movie Awards, trading licks with the guitar-wielding (and increasingly tattooed) actor through a steady, polished and rollicking performance of "Gold on the Ceiling."
Depp called the band "up-and-coming legends" as he accepted the Generation Award before joining the band again for "Lonely Boy."
The Black Keys joked that their collaboration with Johnny Depp was forced on them by MTV, but the Generation Award honoree had already impressed the duo with his guitar-slinging skills during rehearsals for their surprise jam session at the Gibson Amphitheatre.

It seems like forever since the crazed antics of Marilyn Manson graced the pages of FEARnet... but then again I always say that, because when he's in the news, he's usually saying, doing or showing something deliberately unsettling, leaving a kinda weird press vacuum in his wake. This time it really has been quite a wait, because the shock-rock provocateur had concealed the progress of his eighth studio album from the public eye for over a year, even hinting that the album would be his "comeback" project. We did get something promising (and by "promising," I mean "creepy as all hell") to tide us over when the adults-only music video for "Born Villain," the title track from that album, made its...

Fans of Marilyn Manson were treated to quite the surprise performance at the goth rocker's Los Angeles concert on Wednesday night. The man playing guitar on stage at Club Nokia was none other than actor Johnny Depp.
Depp was on hand for "Sweet Dreams" and "Beautiful People," but didn't try to attract any attention to himself. He wore a big heat and fit in nicely with the rest of Manson's band.
It's unclear if fans at the Revolver Golden Gods Awards immediately noticed, but eventually Manson announced that the actor was in the building. "If you don't recognize my personal friend," the 43-year-old singer said. "My personal savior, my personal guitar hero ... Johnny Depp!"
It's no secret that the duo are good friends. Manson and Depp collaborated on a cover of Carly Simon's 1972 hit "You're So Vain" for Manson's upcoming album, Born Villain.

Marilyn Manson has never been one to disappoint when it comes to making horrifically dark and gory music videos. The controversial musician released his latest for "No Reflection," the first single off his upcoming album Born Villain.
In the dimly lit and fuzzy video, Manson hosts a dinner party for five girls in pale white dresses. The oddly normal scene around the table is quickly broken up by raunchy two-second glimpses of the girls dancing with dresses teasingly pulled up and cuts to Manson and his band playing in a flooded room. While singing, Manson sports smudged red lipstick reminiscent of Heath Ledger's Joker, but shows off a uncharacteristically clean face at the dinner table that makes him almost unrecognizable.

It turns out that, for those not in the know, the two stars have been friends for years and paired up once before for a remix of Manson's tune The Nobodies, which was featured in Depp's 2001 Jack the Ripper movie, From Hell.
So, who is the song about this time?
Another little note of trivia that people may not know is that Mick Jagger did the backing vocals for You're So Vain. If you never noticed that before, you'll never not be able to notice now.

One is considered to be one of the most handsome Hollywood icons on Earth and the other is ... well, half-named after a big star. It might not seem like Johnny Depp and aging shock rocker Marilyn Manson have much in common, but the pair are actually old pals and they rekindled their friendship recently by teaming up to record one of the all-time great kiss-off songs in rock history.
According to the Huffington Post, "Dark Shadows" star Depp, 48, and ghoulish rocker Manson, 43, recorded a cover of Carly Simon's 1972 hit "You're So Vain" for the singer's upcoming eighth studio album, Born Villain, which is due out on May 1.

Johnny Depp will appear on Marilyn Manson's upcoming album Born Villain. The 'Disposable Teens' artist revealed that Depp plays drums and lead guitar on the LP's bonus track. The song is a cover of Carly Simon's 'You're So Vain', which Manson described as "ironic". "We did a cover version together of a song which we thought was ironic for each other," Manson told MTV News. "He played drums and lead guitar, and I played guitar and sang. It's a bonus track on my record and the video will probably be us looking at each other like a mirror." Manson said that the Pirates of the Caribbean star's 9-year-old son also features on the track. Marilyn Manson and Johnny Depp have teamed up to cover Carly Simon's 1972 hit "You're So Vain," HuffPost Entertainment exclusively reports.
The controversial singer and eccentric actor have long been friends. Depp invited Manson to be his guest at a "Pirates Of The Caribbean" premiere, and now, it seems, they've sung a duet.
Their cover of "You're So Vain" will be included on Manson's upcoming album, Born Villain, due out May 1. (Listen to "No Reflection," the first single off the album, below.)
The collaboration is not the first between the two pop culture icons, as a remix of Manson's song "The Nobodies" was featured in Depp's 2001 film, "From Hell."
Manson has been busy prepping the album, which is his eighth studio release. Though he's known as a prince of the alternative scene, Manson has enjoyed a great deal of commercial success, including three platinum and two Billboard number one albums.

And so we have the second of our lists. Myself and, fellow WhatCulture music writer, Rhys Milsom have compiled another list of 10 albums to watch out for this year, this time focussing the latter half of the year and some of the releases with unspecified release dates that are due for dropping this year.
Judging by the releases on display, the end half of this year is going to be of just as high a calibre as that of the first half; with some classics in the making, big artists returning, up and comers proving their worth and make or break time for other artists.
2012 looks set to be an exciting time for music new and old, so at least if the world does end come December, musically speaking at least, we’ll be going out with a bang, not a whimper.
Marilyn Manson – Born Villain (early 2012)
Marilyn Manson needs no introduction.

Shia Labeouf: actor, street fighter and director, too. The temperamental star has been making headway into a directing career, and in the past year has delivered the Alejandro Jodorowsky-inspired "Born Villain" with collaborator Marilyn Manson, as well as the video "Marijuana" for Kid Cudi. Well, Labeouf has reteamed with rapper for another, uh, cinematic journey. Appropriately entitled "Maniac," this 10-minute short is more or less a remake of "Man Bites Dog," the notorious French faux-documentary that followed the exploits of a serial killer. The rapper stars alongside Chris Palko (aka Cage) as a murderous duo, in the film that tracks…...

West Hollywood, California — Much like the colorful, frenetic, costumed masses that take over West Hollywood, California, on Halloween, MTV's second annual O Music Awards were so full of creativity, cutting-edge artistry and just plain crazy spirit, it was a perfect fit to be broadcast live from the largest street party in the world.
Thanks to killer live performances by Mac Miller, the Band Perry (live from Phoenix), the Alabama Shakes (live from Austin), traffic-stopping headliner Robyn, and extra-special appearances by Kelly Clarkson, Tyler, the Creator, Demi Lovato, Travie McCoy, John Cho and Kal Penn, the action-packed show completely delivered on its "Offbeat, outrageous, online" tagline and then some. We've got a very special Halloween treat that comes courtesy of Shia Labeouf, who has been dabbling in directing over the past year. This summer he took the reigns on Marilyn Manson's new video "Born Villain", and now he's given Bloody Disgusting an exclusive look at "Maniac", his short film starring both Scott Mescudi (aka Kid Cudi) and Chris Palko. In the short a film crew follows two serial killers documenting their exploits. You can watch it over at the Bloody Disgusting Facebook. It's very reminiscent of Henry: Portrait of a Serial Killer. Music and Score provided by Scott Mescudi amd Dot Da Genius. The short is a Grassy Slope & Ragin4Dayz Production in Association with Dilated Pixels. Executive Produced by Scott Mescudi & Shia Labeouf. Produced by Jeff Balis, T.J. Sakasegawa, Rhoades Rader.

In the 90s, Marilyn Manson was sort of a big deal. He was lewd, loud, odd and did things his own way. It was refreshing and his brand of shock rock had kids everywhere buying up t-shirts, black nail polish and fish nets. By the time his third album rolled around, Manson had worn out his welcome and though he's continued to release albums, he's become largely irrelevant. And then he met Shia Labeouf. The two got along so famously that they've authored a book together along with a short film/music video.
This is amusing on a couple of levels. First and foremost, the fact that Steven Spielbergs young superstar is hanging out with Manson is likely to raise a few eyebrows. What's more is that though many (if not all) of the visuals in Born Villain are recycled, they're pretty risqu coming from a dude who is...
