During the celebration to honor the capture of Crixus and the Gauls, Seppius attempted to counter-maneuver Varinius' play to embarrass Glaber; insisting that blood be shed to honor his cousin Sextus who fell during the massacre at the House of Battiatus. Sextus was in fact the very first casualty during the Slave revolt and was slain by Spartacus himself.
When Lucretia speaks with Crixus, she says that he will die in the arena absent honor and his name forever lost to history. Ironically enough, this series is among numerous onscreen adaptations of the story of Spartacus with Crixus always being a key figure.
