Warning: Spoilers
There has been a clear How I Met Your Mother tone with this show from day one: the New York setting, the goofy dates and playful banter, and that was on display at a hyper level here as we saw the early stages of the Toby and Rachel relationship here.

This is still a show without a home and by that I mean it is impossible to know how to categorize Fleishman Is in Trouble. Not full comedy, not full drama, not really clear is it a mystery? Who knows?

It is enjoyable in its own right, but it is hard to find a way to perfectly sum it up. But ignoring that, this was a fun little episode and gave me faith for the rest of the season.

Difficult to watch

Warning: Spoilers
This is definitely hard to watch. It's as if you take the Christmas episode from the Bear's season 2 and change anxiety to depression. This episode is so depressing!

Is it fair to judge her? There are people who cannot have children and this is one of those cases. A person not capable of loving oneself cannot even fathom birthing a child; let alone two.

On the other hand, Toby seems completely oblivious to the fact that his wife may have psychological issues or even, full-on psychopathic tendencies.

I hold him somewhat responsible bc he is the stable one. She comes from an obviously love-impaired environment.

A grind

This one's a bit of a plod with most every cliché out there, like the writer opened up the ol' relationship screenwriting handbook. Playful getting to know you banter at the predictable skating rink, deep thoughts lying in bed, more banter with the obligatory moving in to a first apartment, dully written narration explaining what we're capable of seeing for ourselves as the relationship starts to fall apart, fatty dialogue in most scenes that no one involved thought to trim. It seemed like a smart college student's stab at a tv script. Almost best move on to see what's in store with the next ep.
