Worth the watch!
Galdhr1 November 2023
This film is a brilliant depiction of how easily things can get out of hand - especially an influenced hand.

We see three young lads on a rooftop enjoying their "last night" together, before life takes them their separate ways. What starts as a typical teenage game of bonding and sharing secrets, soon devolves into an action packed nightmare for the boys.

The atmosphere was great from the beginning, beautiful cinematography, good acting and a suspenseful air that didn't let up. A thoroughly enjoyable watch all around, and a big plus for evoking some thought as well.

**Be warned that the movie depicts two cases of sexual assault and some mild gore.**

Bad film in every sence
ramkoil1 November 2023
This movie has no redeeming features. 3 supposedly high school students are chatting on a roof top and share secrets. At their young age in school uniform, all 3 happen to have committed unspeakable crimes, with extreme cruelty.

The movie is grotesque and unashamedly reveling in its unrealistic caricature of human psychology.

An example of this is that the students have no reason to commit the crimes. They just do! Like today a 17 year old just decides I'm going to kill some one.

The acting is unrealistic, the setting is comical. The story is unrealistic and over acted.

I don't recommend this movie.

An Astonishing Debut of Kai Ko
sean-701626 June 2023
Warning: Spoilers
After watching the movie, my first reaction was to worry about Kai Ko's mental state first! Too cruel! It's hard not to compare "Bad Education" with "Mon Mon Mon Monster", especially the cruelty of death and social collapse, which is quite wonderful. I actually like the entry point of "Mon... Monster" on the exploration of human nature. It makes a very interesting interpretation of "trusting others" and "the boundary between good and evil" The cruelty of society captured in "Bad Education" is compared to "Mon... Monster" and the final death together: the death of all the bad guys in the movie world can make the audience feel refreshed when watching movies, "Bad Education" does not want to achieve it at all It's a good blow to the head, and it can be seen that Kai hates the world and the way the world works in his works more than in the Gidden's works. The bloodiness of the whole film is actually not high. As an audience who is not afraid of non-realistic horror movies, but only afraid of physical pain such as chopping hands, amputating palms, and pulling out teeth, "Bad Education" completely hits my fear point. The horror of the whole film can also be summed up by the word "cruel". It is not a cool film about fighting and killing, but a physical and mental torture that forces you to dig a piece of meat to sacrifice.

Hard Hitting
hexedd3 February 2024
This movie is a hard hitting story about the the dangers of conformity and peer pressure. On another level it's about loyalty and friendship, and how unexpected, extreme events can test the limits of brotherhood and oaths easily made when things are good but difficult to uphold when our necks are on the line.

The premise is simple enough but develops nicely and doesn't waste time. As it plays out, we see the limits of friendship and how each character reacts when pushed to the limit. Although this kind of story has been done before it is nonetheless done well in this movie, and by the end you'll feel like you were put through a harrowing ordeal yourself. The violence is visceral at times, and effective, because it's not overdone. The movie's overall message seems to be that principles matter, and when they're broken there can be extreme consequences. This was a solid film that really got under my skin. Give it a shot.

A terrific debut, let down by a confused tone.
MAX-786 May 2024
Warning: Spoilers
Like a strange child of Au Revoir Taipei and Mon Mon Mon Monsters, this is a typical Giddens tale of friendship and situations getting totally out of control. Great performances, particularly from Kent Tsai and Leon Dai. It's a fast paced tale of one very eventful night... but it never really decides what tone or genre it's aiming for. Is this a highly disturbing thriller or a wacky comedy? Is a sexual assault really getting played for laughs here?

Overall, it tends to work quite well, it's just that there's a few too many instances of the film stepping out of its genre for no apparent reason, other than a cheap and questionable gag.
