In one scene with Pam teaching Nellie how to drive, the sound of the car shifting gears is heard. However, the Subaru Outback in that year came with only a manual or a continuously variable transmission (which maintains engine revs and never "shifts" gears). Since Nellie's hands never left the steering wheel to shift, it can be assumed the car has a CVT.
As Pam teaches Nellie to drive, they pass by the same neighborhood more than once, a la a Hanna-Barbera cartoon of 1960s or 70s.
