Family Day

Warning: Spoilers
It is amazing that The Resident in its 6th season, a time where most broadcast network dramas would be off the rails in character changes and run out of storylines, and yet this series is still able to give us a lot of fresh content. We got a big emotional payoff that they did not force upon and instead gave it time to grow.

We had an intense moment with a vicious attack and perhaps the only part I did not like was Jessica Lucas' screaming during the scene which came off as a little screechy. But a minor complaint and I guess that added to the chaos of the moment that it did not sound pitch perfect.

Bad acting, bad story, "Pudmuh" is a privileged brat

Bad acting, bad story, "Pudmuh" is a privileged brat. Even though The Resident has been on a noticeable and steep decline for a while, this episode showed how bad the story is and how bad the acting is. It is artificial almost to the point of parody. The characters of Gigi and Cade, although not important, are among the most artificial of all.

Pudmuh had such a privileged life that she had to invent problems for herself. Even as an adult, she is never held accountable for her irresponsible behavior and somehow has several people ready to run to aid and comfort her at a moment's notice. That is not enough for her, however, so she has to imagine herself having problems. She is empty, self-centered, selfish, and ridiculously irresponsible.

Dating your widow's bestie is gross

Warning: Spoilers
I'll never understand or respect the trope of having people date their friends spouses after a loss!

Why can't they simply have a great friendship that has them constantly leaning on one another in a platonic way. They are LITERALLY ending both of them having new potential relationships to date one another like we forgot Conrad couldn't stand Billie in the beginning! Also the fact that this was Nic's best friend and basically their daughter's auntie, is just super awkward!

I don't know why tv shows insist on this. I'm annoyed they are forcing this narrative. But it's just as bad as the Dr having babies with his coworker's sketchy twin sister. Gag.
