A good concept but lacking in the plot
sallyjoybonsall2 January 2023
This episode had a strong potential to be cringy (Simpsons & contemporary youtube pop culture), but for the most part it was quite enjoyable. There are some good jokes and casting - I especially liked the podcast segment by Lenny and Carl. The plot needed more development, however, even if it was intended to be very surface level, which is a shame since the concept is initially catchy. The main story follows the "rise and fall of the Simpson family", which seems to miss the mark a bit when it comes to youtube culture. Why not focus in on one or two characters? I think a Bart-centered episode would have worked much better here. In sum, although some parts of this episode are wanting, the hook is enough to make this a moderately enjoyable watch.

Entertaining

This was not the best episode, it doesn't take a genius to see that, although it may have been light on the plot it was an interesting take on the typical Simpson episode. Over all it was an enjoyable experience. Especially the talk show segment which made me laugh out loud. The concept was a good idea though it could have been presented better. I definitely enjoyed the episode and frankly it was quite under rated. It was a well written episode that told good jokes. Truthfully the review that says that this episode is bad is wrong. It told good jokes, was well written, and had a good reference during scrabble. Over all I'd rate it 7/10 and definitely watch it again. Highly recommend.

Warning: Spoilers
Cool idea but fails in the execution. A non linear storyline told through online content is not exactly revolutionary but definitely an interesting concept for a season 34 episode. The podcast bit was highly enjoyable and got a few chuckles out of me, but it seems more like a fever dream than a simpsons episode. Almost felt like a treehouse of horror segment. Not the best episode of the season but fine a filler. If your'e looking for an episode where the simpsons family and company are all online influencers (specifically youtube, no tik tok or instagram references here), then here you go . Shoutout the lenny and carl experience.

Awfully bad

I have watched all the Simpsons episodes way back to the Tracy Ullman episodes.

This is the first time I stopped viewing halfway through the episode.

As far as I can see, there is absolutely no story and no plot present at all. If you have no drying paint to watch, or no growing grass to watch, then you might want to waste your time through this episode.

Simpsons used to have a good plot (or two) in each episode, and a lot of gags to make it entertainable, but this episode has none at all.

This episode should never have been launched.

I sincerely hope that they will do some internal showdown before the Simpsons itself is put to an end.

I might have grown old since the last episode, but hey - that was only three weeks ago.

Influencers got to the Simpsons
vexille_ni2 January 2023
I never felt like reviewing a simpsons episode, they're usually ok, but this one actually made me go look for my forgotten password just so i could warn people of how futile this episode is.

The whole episode is trying to parody different styles of influencers, but that's fun only to people who know and follow these types of "influencers".

The Simpsons have had really simple plots in some of their episodes, but this one feels weirdly dumbed out for some reason, almost as if they didn't actually expect people to like this one, but they made it anyways just because they had to.

If you want meta on your cartoon, go watch something like Rick and Morty, this Simpsons episode tried too hard, but didn't got far.

Nice one.

This season have not provided LOL episodes but rather well written episodes. This was a smart way to tell a simple story.

The way the history is narrated captures the spirit of a procrastination on YouTube while showing.in a realistic way how every person would be on the internet

I really liked how the episode portraits the current era of vlogers and the the insane amount of money they get

As with the rest of the season, watch this episode not looking to laugh and remember the episodes for years to come, like in the first seasons, but rather to be entretained and have a nice time. For me, that's more than enough.
