Guneet Monga, producer of successful films like Gangs of Wasseypur, The Lunchbox and Shaitan among others, has clarified all rumors about her upcoming film Side Hero. Lately, there have been rumors circulating that the casting for Side Hero has been finalized. In response to this, Guneet recently squashed all such rumors through her Twitter post promising a big announcement once the cast has been locked in.
Guneet Monga, the producer & CEO at Sikhya Entertainment & Akfpl posted on her social networking page, “To put rumors to rest, No One has been cast for Side Hero directed by @Vasan_Bala as yet. As soon as we do, we’ll be the 1st to announce it.”

Peddlers-director Vasan Bala has been selected for Sundance Screenwriters Lab with his project Side Hero. The film revolves around a teenager who lives by the codes of his beloved kung fu movies but must find his own way when he discovers that he may never get to be the hero.
Bala’s debut feature Peddlers had premiered at the Critics’ Week of the Cannes Film Festival in 2012.
Sundance Institute announced the 13 projects selected for its annual June Directors and Screenwriters Labs, taking place at the Sundance Resort in Utah from May 26 through June 26.

Guneet Monga’s Sikhya Entertainment is producing Amit Kumar’s Give Me Blood and Vasan Bala’s Side Hero.
Sikhya produced Bala’s Peddlers, which premiered at Cannes Critics Weeks last year, and was also a co-producer on Kumar’s last film Monsoon Shootout, which premiered in official selection at Cannes 2013.
“Side Hero is a slice-of-life comedy which is in the last stages of discussion on finance and cast. We are locking the script of Give Me Blood and will begin to look for international co-producers soon,” said Monga.
Give Me Blood, about two Indian soldiers serving in the British Indian army during World War II, was selected for Film Bazaar’s Co-production Market last year.

While Jhalak On Wheels evidently took the competition a notch higher, Jhalak Dikhhla Ja had the third week power packed with different forms of dances perfectly blended, as the theme for the week was dance fusion. After their challenging second week, the contestants were all geared up to give some great performances once again. The contestants in the danger zone were Shweta Tiwari, Karanvir Bohra and Srikanth.
Drashti Dhami and Salman were the first to perform, with a fusion of argentine tango and contemporary. The duo gave a seductive and beautiful performance, with some really sensuous moves which complimented the dance forms chosen by them. Thiruvananthapuram, March 3: Southern actor Srikanth, known for his negative role in "Hero", will team up with Bhumika Chawla after 11 years for a cameo in Raj Prabhavathy's "Buddy".
Bhumika was his heroine in his debut film "Roja Kootam", which came out in 2002. It's after a gap of 11 years that the two actors will be seen together.
