There was some great work from Ron Darling here as his attempt to win over the host of the event was not for future bookings, but for him to potentially work for a law enforcement agency. That was amusing, but still in tune with his behavior.

But overall "KSGY-95 Prizewinner's Luau" was probably the worst of the season and probably the closest thing to a bad episode we have had. Not a particularly bad episode by comedy standards, but just because the first three had been really good before.

Some funny moments still, but I just never like the drug-induced episodes of TV shows or movies very much.

Disappointing

A disappointment unfortunately. The writing seems weak. Only episode 4 and they do a trope of having an episode be about everybody being high (including 40+ y/o characters peer pressuring to use drugs). Basically like the old timey shows where being drunk is the plot- except with mushrooms. No logic as to why the Garner character is at the event; charactural treatment of the chef character, etc., make it difficult to engage. I miss the cleverness and use of irony from earlier seasons -as well as believability of situations and character actions. There is much talent in that group; I'm hoping those at the helm will shift resources to the writing.
