Fire and Slice: Making 'The Exterminator' (2011)

*** (out of 4)

This here is a good and entertaining eighteen-minute featurette that has director James Glickenhaus discussing his 1980 film THE EXTERMINATOR. He goes over some pretty good topics including claiming that he never saw DEATH WISH until after he made this movie. From here he talks about the casting and what he thought each actor brought to the role. Other subjects include the violence in the picture, its success at the box office, the sequel rights that he sold and the ending that was added onto the picture. If you're a fan of THE EXTERMINATOR then you'll certainly want to check this out even though there's nothing ground-breaking here. The director answers the various questions that he is asked and while none of the answers are deep or have too much detail they at least give you a good idea of what the making of the movie was like.
