In late December, when HuffPost Live journalist Caroline Modarressy-Tehrani asked R. Kelly during a live interview to address the numerous sexual abuse allegations that have plagued his entire career, the singer cut her off, questioned her intelligence, and abruptly ended the interview. Kelly's interaction with GQ's Chris Heath, however, is a different story: In a sprawling, detailed new conversation that reads like a character evaluation (the interview ends with Heath trying to catch Kelly in a lie), Kelly is more or less an open book. No topic is off limits — the singer speaks on being sexually abused by a relative in more detail than he ever has before; his relationship with his presumed ex-wife, Aaliyah; accusations of sexual contact with underage women; and even Bill Cosby. He maintains his innocence — as he has done since the beginning, and did to Vulture last November — but clears the air...

R. Kelly stormed off the set of an interview with HuffPost Live on Monday, refusing to answer questions about his long history of sexual assault allegations. The singer was promoting his latest album, “The Buffet,” and took offense to a question about whether or not the allegations have affected his album sales. After a contentious back-and-forth with interviewer Caroline Modarressy-Tehrani, he walked off the set saying, “This interview is over.” Modarressy-Tehrani asked Kelly to respond to fans who are conflicted about supporting his music because of his controversial past, but the singer refused to cooperate or acknowledge the “negative” line of questioning.

R. Kelly Goes on HuffPost Live for an Extremely Painful Interview About Why His New Album Is Tanking
R. Kelly is a very talented singer. You can't deny this. But R. Kelly has done some pretty horrible things that are impossible to ignore. Take, for instance, a recent video he posted online, in which he blames low album sales for his latest release, The Buffet, on "lack of support," instead of the more obvious answer, which is that people don't really want another R. Kelly album right now. To try to convince us otherwise, the Chicago R&B legend went on HuffPost Live to make his case, and when host Caroline Modarressy-Tehrani asks him to explain why he thinks no one is buying his album, Kelly blames it on computers, and also accuses Modarressy-Tehrani of staging a deposition. The whole thing, like many aspects of Kelly's career, is cringeworthy, but if you want to hear him make an awkward analogy using a hamburger commercial, you should watch.

"I don't think so, but you're being very kind," he joked.

Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith are neither selling their California mansion nor divorcing, despite what stories the rumor mill churns out.
Last week, Real Estalker first claimed that Will and Jada quietly put their $42 million, 25,000-square-foot Calabasas, Calif., estate on the market. The adobe-style home, designed by Stephen Samuelson, took years to build and features a recording studio, meditation room, a private terrace off the master bathroom and a free-form pool all on 150 acres. It was featured in Architectural Digest in 2011.
Gossip blogs like Hollywood Life and X17 Online questioned if the supposed sale of their dream home signifies an oncoming divorce. Hollywood Life even surmised the two may be "selling off assets in order to make a divorce mediation easier."
Alas, the entire story is a fabrication.

Mischa Barton, erstwhile Marissa Cooper and current indie film star, appeared on HuffPost Live with host Alyona Minkovski this week and discussed her upcoming projects. Like this one: "It's with Billy Zane and it's a zombie, post-apocalyptic movie about fracking," Barton said. "I really liked the script because it's just interesting." Indeed. The film, called "Zombie Killers: Elephant's Graveyard," has this summary on IMDb: "A young group of militia soldiers are all that stands between a coming dead horde and their rural town."

Things must be tough for Lamar Odom if even Dennis Rodman doesn't understand him.
During a conversation with HuffPost Live's Marc Lamont Hill about his new Bad Boy Vodka, Rodman discussed the allegations of Odom's drug addiction and the way it's destroying his marriage to Khloe Kardashian. The former basketball star said he knows the temptation to go out and party a few nights a week, but he's puzzled by why Odom would allow his substance abuse to tear down his successful and luxurious life.
"I just don't understand when you have so much money that you're that bored that you really have to go to that extreme," Rodman said. "The sad thing about it is the fact that he's not a bad guy. He used to come to my restaurants, clubs in Newport Beach a lot. He's a good guy."

Stacy Keibler has moved on, if sources for Life & Style magazine are to be believed (hint: take it with a grain of salt). The 33-year-old ex-girlfriend of George Clooney became a single lady in June, but is reportedly dating Jared Pobre, a tech entrepreneur based in Orange County, Calif., according to his LinkedIn profile. (You can view a picture of him here).
"She's dating millionaire Jared Pobre, and it's pretty serious. She was in Europe with him and all over Italy a couple of weeks ago," an insider told the publication.
If this is true, it fits right in with what Keibler told HuffPost Live's Abby Huntsman in July, when she said she'd like to date someone not in the entertainment industry. "It's hard being in the public eye period, no matter what you're going through, good times or bad," she said.
On Clooney, Keibler added: "I'm extremely grateful for the past two years.

Thirty Seconds To Mars won a Vma on Sunday, but viewers who simply tuned into MTV for the telecast likely had no idea.
The band's award for Best Rock Video, which honored the song "Up In The Air," was presented on the pre-show before the festivities officially kicked off. During a visit to the HuffPost Live studio the day after the VMAs, lead singer Jared Leto told host Ricky Camilleri that fans should express dissatisfaction with rock being sidelined on the music network.
"Rock music deserves a place there," Leto said. "I don't think people will be bored by it. But we live in a world right now that seems to want to be anesthetized, that seems to want to just feel one thing. It's this slight sedation."
HuffPost Entertainment editor Kia Makarechi pointed out that the tide might be turning with the popularity of pop acts like Passion Pit and fun.

In recent weeks, the conversation concerning the struggles African-American men face in this country has been widely-discussed. From the Trayvon Martin case, to the story of Oscar Grant's shooting in "Fruitvale Station," to the staggering incarceration rate of black men, there is no doubt that black men in America are plagued by tough odds.
Award-winning filmmaker Stacey Mohammad tackles that topic in her web series "For Colored Boys," which tells the stories of "African-American men from various walks of life as they navigate and overcome challenges, face their fears, find their truth, mend broken relationships, find love, build families and inspire the lives of many."
The first installment, subtitled "Redemption," follows the life of Benjamin Boyd Sr. and his journey reconnecting with family and reassuming his role as a father upon his release from prison.
Mohammad spoke with HuffPost Live host Marc Lamont Hill about the project and her motivation to tell these stories.

Five years removed from the 2008 McCain-Palin Republican ticket, Sarah Palin's successes, failures, and well-documented gaffes are still part of the national debate. Danny Strong, "Game Change" screenwriter, sat down with HuffPost Live's Marc Lamont Hill Wednesday to discuss how he portrayed one of the most controversial political figures in U.S. history.
Addressing criticism that the film received for its perceived politicized portrayal of Palin, Strong told Hill, "I disagree with the statement that half the country views 'Game Change' as a hit job on Sarah Palin. I actually think it's a very very small group of people. I think anyone who's fair-minded can go into that movie and see that the film is completely fair."
Pointing to right wing extremists, he added, "I think there's a fringe group in both parties. And I think there's a fringe group on the Right that's quite loud and quite vocal.

Director Lee Daniels said he is "deeply" hurt when people say he doesn't support African-American women, especially because of the intense connection he felt with them while growing up black and gay.
When Daniels stopped by the HuffPost Live studio to discuss his new film "Lee Daniels' The Butler," host Marc Lamont Hill asked about criticism surrounding recent remarks Daniel made about researching his movie "Precious."
During an interview on "Larry King Now," Daniels described visiting a health crisis center for gay men to learn about AIDS. He said that when he arrived, he saw "black women with kids -- I thought I had walked into the welfare office." The comment was part of a larger point that because gay black men are pressured to stay in the closet, many black women contract AIDS from men who are on the "down-low."

The death of famed crime novelist Elmore Leonard is weighing heavily on the hearts of the team behind "Justified," the FX drama series based on Leonard's 2001 story "Fire In The Hole."
Dave Andron, co-executive producer and writer for "Justified," joined HuffPost Live's Ricky Camilleri to discuss how Leonard's death has affected the show's creative team, including series creator Graham Yost.
"Graham particularly took it hard. He had spent the most time with Elmore over the years," Andron said. "But yesterday was a really sad day. I think we all just felt a little deflated."
The "Justified" writers' room is busy preparing for the show's fifth season, and Andron said knowing that Leonard won't get to see their work has been difficult to process.
"I think more than we even realized, we were aware that Elmore was out there watching it and kind of loving it, and I think the...

Once actress Lecy Goranson left the role of Becky Conner on "Roseanne" for good, she never looked back -- literally.
During a HuffPost Live interview with Michael Fishman, who played Becky's younger brother DJ on "Roseanne," and host Ricky Camilleri, Goranson revealed that she has never seen any of the show's controversial final season, including the series finale.
It may seem unbelievable that Goranson never checked out what she was missing on the show, but it rang true when Fishman spoke about the "Roseanne" finale, which revealed that Conner family patriarch Dan (John Goodman) died from a heart attack -- a twist Goranson never knew about until Fishman said it on HuffPost Live.
"I'm embarrassed. I don't even know that he passed away," she said during the interview. "I'm like, 'He passed away? Oh god, that's horrible!'"
