Of the 200 contestants from all seasons, half (50,5%) listed their hometowns as either New York City (19.5%), Los Angeles (10.5%), Chicago (6.5%), Atlanta (4.5%), Las Vegas (4.0%), Seattle (3.0%), or Dallas (2.5%). Eight contestants came from the United States' unincorporated territory of Puerto Rico, and one, Charlie Hides, from London, United Kingdom.
Of this season's 16 contestants, the majority (68.8%) were between the ages of 22 and 29 years old. The weighted average age of all contestants since the first season is 28.7 years old.
"Queen of All Queens" Jinkx Monsoon (Jerick Hoffer) performed "When You're Good to Mama" in celebration of recently being cast as 'Matron "Mama" Morton' in the 1996 revival production of 'Chicago' (1975), the second longest-running Broadway show. The adaptation of the musical, 'Chicago (2002)', won the Academy Award for Best Picture.
As of this season, Roy Haylock (Bianca del Rio) (S06) and Sasha Colby (Sasha Kekauoha) are the oldest winners, at the age of 37, at the time of filming. Giovanni Palandrani (Aquaria) (S10) and James William Ross IV (Tyra Sanchez) (S02) are the youngest, at 21 years old. Overall, Charlie Hides (S09) is the eldest contestant, at 52.
Mistress Isabelle Brooks (Israel) "adopted" fellow contestants Sugar (Cooper Coyle) and Spice (Luca Coyle), the show's first sibling contestants, as her drag "daughters".
