Sex & Nudity
-
- A man is shown sitting on a toilet. No private parts are visible.
- A sheep in disguise kisses a man but it's pushed away.
- For crude humor, a few times the farmer's butt crack is visible. Nothing graphic, just for laughs.
- A recurring plot element is a couple of the sheep dressing up as a woman, and the animal capturer trying to woo her/them. Nothing graphic.
Violence & Gore
-
- A man is zapped with electricity.
- One scene shows someone about to have an operation.
- A fair amount of slapstick animated violence, all played for laughs with next to no sense of actual threat.
- During the opening montage the farm dog gets squished between a wall and a door multiple times for comedic effect.
- The farmer gets hit on the head by a ball and ends up in a hospital. There are no injuries, the only effect is him getting amnesia.
- When the farmer is suffering from amnesia he ends up in a barber shop and in a semi-conscious state forcibly shaves a person's head. Played for laughs.
Profanity
-
- Verbally none, as the film has no spoken dialogue.
Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking
-
- People in the background drinking light wine in a restaurant.
Frightening & Intense Scenes
-
- The climax is quite dramatic with some scary elements.
- A man is shown afraid of a sheep.
- One scene shows a sheep taking a bite out of styrofoam and spitting it out, this may be disturbing.
- The animal capturer acts aggressively and mean.
Spoilers
Violence & Gore
- Some characters are pushed to the edge of a ravine.
- At one point the animal capturer uses a special weapon which fires a wire that electrocutes the target. This backfires, and he ends up comedically electrocuting himself.
Frightening & Intense Scenes
- The first scene in the animal shelter might give a spooky vibe for younger children with its dark lighting, ominous atmosphere and the other animals staring threateningly at Shaun. One inhabitant in the shelter is a dog who is shown only constantly staring into the camera, which might unsettle younger viewers. In the end credits, it is revealed that it is actually a cardboard cut-out and the actual dog has escaped, this is a reference to The Shawshank Redemption.
- When the farmer drives Shaun and the other sheep away due to his amnesia, the film gets a bit sad for a while.
- The film is a bit intense towards the end, as the animal capturer tries to drop the main characters into a quarry.
