I was spellbound. From the opening title with the word "OUACHITA" misspelled, to the video clips of the Arkansas mountains complete with colorado mountain footage with snowcapped rockies and aspens. The riveting 4 hour hike including shots of summer foliage, fall foliage and winter barren forest had us on the edge of our seats wondering how long did this hike really take?! The detailed coverage of the star unpacking and the repacking his gear made this a Must See event. The repeated trek of the exact same trail footage 19 times was something I will never forget. The captivating footage of his feet walking on leaves over and over and over was something we will talk about for weeks. The sound clips from loud flies to dead silence, transitioning to loud bird calls, then to deafening music made us beg for more. This story was not told for 30 years? How could anyone keep this a secret?! $12,000 budget would have been impossible. That mound of dirt that showed itself often throughout filming had to have increased the budget costs substantially, as well as the housecat that randomly appeared in the 4 hour remote mountain hike. In all seriousness I am holding my breath for the sequel. I watched this twice.
