I watched this film on CBC Gem, and thought I understood what was happening. A distraught woman has somehow reached her breaking point and has decided to leave her relationship.
But when she answers her phone, the sound track of the rest of the film becomes so distorted that I had no idea what was going on. What is her husband celebrating? A financial windfall? A prestigious award? Why does our heroine, with her champagne, still look so traumatized, yet he does not notice her? Then finally, a few words of the sound track become clear, as he notices.... the potted plant. Apparently his wife is invisible to him.
