Blair Brown plays a D.C. doyenne of the right and designated head of the Fed in Beau Willimon’s Broadway play The Parisian Woman. This makes her the foil for Uma Thurman’s ambitious lefty agitator, who hopes Brown will put in a word with the unnamed boss – that would be Donald Trump – advancing her husband’s transition from tax lawyer to a choice judgeship. Fat chance. In what is easily the play’s most crackling scene, the two women engage in a conversational tango…...

A spiritual successor to Road Rash that is set in a Grand Theft Auto-style open world sounds like an excellent idea, doesn’t it?
Well, as it turns out, an idea isn’t all you need when it comes to making games. If it was, I’d be a multi-billionaire that wouldn’t be talking to the likes of you right now. Unfortunately, Road Rage appears to be an idea with little else of substance behind it.
The concept behind the game is exactly as I’ve described. It’s motorcycle combat in a GTA-like world. An underground group of bikers in the city of Ashen have decided that the time has come to rise up and overthrow the oppressors that have turned their formerly booming homeland into a dark and murderous place. To do this, they’ll take part in a series of motorcycle races, elimination events, stunt challenges,...

Warning: The following contains spoilers for Thursday’s Chicago Fire.
Danger hit close to home during Chicago Fire‘s fall finale on Thursday when Dawson discovered that the stabbing victim she and Brett had been called to save was none other than her father Ramon.

Elsewhere, a drunken Stella kissed Severide — “Not like this,” he told her — and then claimed not to remember the smooch the following morning. What brought on the overindulgence in booze? Stella was unexpectedly transferred out of the firehouse to Cfd’s PR department in a secret plot orchestrated by Hope.

You’ve probably seen the second Superhero Fight Club by now; if you haven’t and you’ve got four minutes to spare, go give this a click. It’s great fun, not necessarly part of The DC-cw continuity, and it brings Supergirl in to play with the boys. And Felicity, of course.
Spoiler Alert! (I’ve always wanted to say that!) From this point forward, I’m going to write stuff that presumes you’ve seen Superhero Fight Club 2, although as spoilers go, I’ve already spoiled it with my choice of graphics and my headline. Sue me.
Easily, the coolest part of the short is the “surprise” appearance of Gorilla Grodd, who already has been established in The Flash teevee series. But, let’s face it, Gorilla Grodd usually is the coolest part of damn near everything he’s ever appeared in, dating back to his introduction in...

We’re back with another edition of the Indie Spotlight, highlighting recent independent horror news sent our way. Today’s feature includes VOD release information for Armistice, multiple teaser trailers, a Q&A with Matt Thompson from Bloodline, and a preview of Dept. of Monsterology:
Dept. of Monsterology: ”Officially, it’s the Department of Cryptozoology, Mythological Studies, Parapsychology and Fortean Phenomena. But to the rest of the students and staff at the Dunsany College, baffled by the cloak of secrecy that surrounds the Department and its affairs, it has another, more dismissive, name: The Department of Monsterology. Funded by the mysterious Hampton Foundation, the Dept. operates several field teams that roam the globe on extended research expeditions.
Their brief: to investigate the dark and unexplored corners of our world – the places we’ve forgotten, lost or believe to be mythical. And to study those things that may still be lurking there.
