Jeroom invites his friends Bockie De Repper and Jonas Geirnaert to join him in scattering his brother Boris' ashes in Canada. Their journey begins with a sunrise at Cape Spear in Newfoundland, the easternmost point of Canada. Reluctantly, they sample the local food of Newfoundland, drink 20,000-year-old iceberg water, and become honorary Newfoundlanders through an ancient ritual that involves kissing a codfish. However, they soon find themselves on the run from Hurricane Fiona.
