- Hershel, a beloved character, is partially decapitated with blood pouring out of the side of his neck. He tries to crawl away but The Governor follows him and stabs him in the face multiple times with a sword (this part is offscreen but blood is shown spurting upwards). Hershel's blood-covered decapitated head is then shown twice (the second time it has turned into a zombie). Very disturbing as Hershel is a beloved character and an elderly man.
- The "Governor" cuts Hershel's neck with a sword. blood pours. Hershel tries to crawl away but the "Governor" stops him and completely cuts his head off. this scene is very graphic and can be disturbing
- The "Governor" is stabbed through the chest with a sword and is later shot in the head.
Frightening & Intense Scenes
- When Hershel gets his head cut off it is very frightening but it isn't anything worse than what's been on the show before, it's just because it's a beloved character that makes it scarier.
- Hershells death is very frightning.
- Hershel's death is very upsetting.
- The end of the episode is very disturbing and sad as Rick and Carl find Judiths bloody pram
