ITV's Your Face Sounds Familiar will not be returning for a second series.
The entertainment show, presented by Paddy McGuinness and Alesha Dixon, involved six celebrities impersonating iconic singers in a bid to win money for their chosen charity.
Asked by Digital Spy whether the show would be returning, he said: "No, because they're bringing back Stars in Their Eyes.
"Which, for instance, when we did Your Face Sounds Familiar - which I absolutely loved - I really thought we could have done something with that.
"But at the time when they told me about Your Face Sounds Familiar and we were just going to do it, I actually said, 'Why don't you just do Stars in Their Eyes?' And then lo and behold, I've talked myself out of a job and they are doing it and I've really shot myself in the foot."

It's becoming harder and harder to remember the days when Ben Elton was funny - his latest comedic misfire was thankfully axed after a single series, with the BBC's controller of comedy commissioning Shane Allen blaming Twitter for "crucifying" the show.
What Shane forgot is that Twitter is full of people - it was people that hated The Wright Way. All of the people.

Just when you thought ITV had run away with the prize of TV Turkey of 2013 with the inexplicable Your Face Sounds Familiar, the BBC have fought back with their own Saturday night dud. The celebrity panel show for Ukip fanatics - I Love My Country.
Its opening episode tonight was 50 minutes of TV vomit that left an almighty stench. I Love My Country? I Love My Sick Bucket would be more appropriate.
At least you get the sense with Your Face Sounds Familiar that everyone involved knows it's trash and is wallowing in its sheer awfulness. Bobby Davro just looks chuffed to be back on primetime TV, even if does mean dressing up as Tammy Wynette.
However, I Love My Country is such a dizzying mess, a patchwork of dreadful TV pitches combined into one ball of mucky mush that everyone involved looks utterly bewildered.

Emmerdale star Natalie Anderson has revealed that competing on new ITV show Your Face Sounds Familiar has given her confidence.
Anderson, who plays Alicia Metcalfe in the soap, has so far won two episodes of the Saturday night show, which sees the celebrity contestants imitating famous singers.
Speaking to The Sun, Anderson said: "Being part of this show has definitely made me feel raunchier and more confident about my body.
"It was mental revisiting all of Britney Spears's stuff and remembering how sexy she was. Britney is the same age as me and back then we were a bit similar.
"Now that I'm ten years older, I find it a bit harder to be sexy. On the show I keep saying to myself, 'Be 20-year-old Natalie. You're not married and don't have a baby'. I have to think like that, otherwise I felt too shy.

Alesha Dixon studied Ant and Dec before starting her presenting role on 'Your Face Sounds Familiar'. The 34-year-old star - who co-hosts the ITV show opposite Paddy McGuinness - got some live presenting tips from her 'Britain's Got Talent' co-stars by watching their technique on the talent show, and she admits the duo have helped her to relax while she fronts the programme. She said: ''Towards the end of 'Bgt' I was really studying Ant and Dec and watching how they do it. They are so relaxed, they are the best in the business. They do it with ease. ''One of...

Alesha Dixon says being a judge on 'Britain's Got Talent' is ''really easy'' compared to hosting 'Your Face Sounds Familiar'. The 34-year-old star - who co-presents the singing show with Paddy McGuinness - loves the added pressure that comes with fronting a live programme compared to giving her opinions on talent, and admits she has a ''newfound respect'' for 'Bgt' hosts Ant and Dec since taking on the role. She said: ''When you're sitting there as a judge it's really easy, put it that way. But when you're there as the host of the show then you've got to be...

'Your Face Sounds Familiar' star Bobby Davro injured his leg trying to mimic Sir Mick Jagger. The comedian - who is one of six celebrities competing for charity on ITV's new 'Stars in Their Eyes'-esque reality competition - is set to dress up as the Rolling Stones frontman for the second episode on Saturday (06.07.13), however, his performance is now at risk after straining his leg while trying to impersonate the rock legend's famous strut in rehearsals. He wrote on Twitter: ''Bad news from the Davro camp My ongoing calf strain has just gone twang again very painful Ill have to rest...

Alesha Dixon has spoken about her potential return to Britain's Got Talent.
The star said that she would be "silly" not to return to the ITV show if she was given the opportunity, Unreality TV reports.
She recently wrapped her second series on the panel alongside Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden and David Walliams, with Hungarian dancers Attraction taking this year's crown.
The 34-year-old - who recently announced that she was expecting her first child - explained that she has not yet signed up for a third series.
Asked if that meant she wouldn't be returning, she said: "It doesn't work like that, they do yearly contracts. But if they want me back, I will definitely be in. I'd be silly not to because it's such a fantastic show.
"The standard this year was so much higher than I expected and it was a lovely feel on the panel too. Last...
