War Declared! Exorcists Clash with the Illuminati
Mysterygeneration14 April 2024
Warning: Spoilers
The writing in this season is a mess. The characters constantly have emotional outbursts and make terrible decisions, even in dangerous situations. The plot throws random elements at you, like surprise betrayals, sudden demon transformations, and unexplained zombies, with no build-up or explanation. The pacing is all over the place, with long stretches of nothing happening followed by sudden bursts of action. The characters' behavior is inconsistent, going from clueless to competent with no explanation. The ending feels unearned, with convenient plot devices resolving major plot points in a single conversation. Overall, it's frustrating and confusing, leaving you feeling disengaged from the characters and the story.

The "Blue Exorcist: Illuminati Saga" delivers an exhilarating addition to the beloved series, blending intense action, deep character development, and a compelling storyline that captivates both long-time fans and newcomers alike.

From the get-go, the saga plunges us back into the rich, supernatural world of Rin Okumura and his companions. The narrative arc involving the Illuminati introduces an intriguing and formidable new adversary that raises the stakes to unprecedented levels. This installment brilliantly expands the lore, exploring darker themes and more complex moral dilemmas that challenge our heroes in unexpected ways.

The animation quality is top-notch, with stunning visuals that bring the demonic battles and mystical elements to life. The fight scenes are particularly noteworthy, choreographed with a perfect blend of fluidity and impact that keeps viewers on the edge of their seats. Additionally, the attention to detail in the backgrounds and character designs enhances the overall immersive experience.

Character development is a standout feature in this saga. Rin's growth as a protagonist is thoughtfully portrayed, balancing his internal struggles with his demonic heritage and his determination to protect those he loves. Rin faces and overcomes numerous obstacles, showcasing his resilience and unwavering spirit. Supporting characters, such as Yukio and Shiemi, also receive substantial development, allowing for deeper emotional connections and a richer narrative fabric. New characters introduced in this arc bring fresh dynamics and intriguing backstories, further enriching the plot.

The soundtrack is absolutely amazing, seamlessly complementing the series' tone. The music ranges from hauntingly beautiful to adrenaline-pumping, effectively heightening the emotional and dramatic moments throughout the saga. The OST not only enhances the viewing experience but also leaves a lasting impression, making the series even more memorable.

In summary, "Blue Exorcist: Illuminati Saga" is a must-watch for fans of the series and anime enthusiasts in general. It expertly combines action, emotion, and a gripping plot, making it a standout entry in the Blue Exorcist franchise. Whether you're a long-time follower or new to the world of exorcists and demons, this saga promises an unforgettable journey that leaves you eagerly anticipating the next episode.

I love blue exorcist don't get me wrong but

Warning: Spoilers
I truly love blue exorcist but I just hate how they changed the animation. The characters look weird with circle heads, no neck and changing rins hair... FOR WHAT???? Why would they do that bruh? I despise the new look i like how they looked previous now they all look off mostly face wise I dont know if i can stand to watch it they just aren't the same to me and i know that sounds dumb but its just not the same now I don't know but other than that the anime is amazing I just hope they end up changing it back to the original art style. Oh Well, season 3 is supposed to take place after the events of season 2 (which followed the events after episode 15 of season 1), following the chronological order of events in the manga's story. This new season begins at the start of volume 10 of the manga, and it left out so many important parts and rushed so many others that it's now confusing and makes zero sense. If you want to continue watching the anime, I would definitely pick up the book and read through it too so you don't miss out on the important explanations about the Baal that they left out, as well as check out the other academy wonders that were left out. I don't know what we're going to get in later episodes, but I'm extremely concerned that it's going to continue being a jumbled and rushed mess.
