As the anniversary of Jennifer Lopez's sixth studio album "Love?" approaches, it's a fitting time to reflect on this album's significance within J Lo's career, its impact on fans, and its continued relevance in light of her recent endeavors.
Released on April 29, 2011, "Love?" came at a time when Lopez was already a multifaceted force in entertainment. Music, film, and fashion-she'd conquered them all. Yet, "Love?" transcended mere career markers. It delved into love, a theme central to Lopez's personal narrative.
This wasn't just an album; it was a declaration. Through "Love?" Lopez explored her own quest for love and fulfillment. The title track, "(What Is) Love?" beautifully captures this yearning. Lopez laid bare her vulnerabilities through her music, creating an emotional connection with her audience. Take the poignant question - "Is this just a dream / Is this what it seems?" - which echoes a longing for validation, her desire to be someone's girlfriend,...

Jennifer Lopez has had a mixed year so far. Her back-to-back documentaries, “This Is Me… Now: A Love Story” and “The Greatest Love Story Never Told” for Prime Video, seemingly did well enough with critics. But the docs didn’t really help her music career much, and in March of this year, multiple dates on her ‘This Is Me’ concert tour were canceled due to sluggish ticket sales.

The film follows Treasury Agent Marybeth Medina (Addai-Robinson), who after her boss is murdered by unknown assassins is forced to contact Christian Wolff (Affleck) to solve the murder. Not many would consider it hard labor to stand in the shadow of Jennifer Lopez. Few, perhaps, could stand as still and as long as documentary filmmaker Jason Bergh.
For nearly a decade, Bergh has recorded the multi-hyphenate star behind the scenes as she has charted new paths as a content producer and beauty mogul, and danced her way onto America’s biggest stage — the Super Bowl Halftime Show. Last month, Bergh took his loftiest seat at J. Lo, Inc. by serving as director for “The Greatest Love Story Never Told,” a much-discussed documentary about the making of Lopez’s 2024 visual album “This Is Me … Now.”
Imposingly tall and excessively kind, Bergh has been a gentle giant in the unscripted space for years. He’s directed episodic and short content on notable music figures like Alicia Keys and athletes Stephen Curry and Clay Matthews. After the dust settled on “Greatest Love Story,...

Apparently, fans don’t want JLo now. So her tour producers are hoping they’ll want JLo then.
The struggling North American “This Is Me…Now” tour – Jennifer Lopez’s first in five years — is transforming into “This Is Me…Live/The Greatest Hits.” It’s apparently hoped that the promise of familiar material will goose ticket sales, which already saw seven tour dates canceled.
The tour is accompanied by a new album and two films. The album opened at No. 1 on a couple of Billboard’s lesser charts and then sank. It debuted at No. 38 on the most important chart, the Billboard 200, and It is now below the Billboard 200 Mendoza line.
It has been 10 years since Lopez’s last studio LP, 2014’s A.K.A., and 22 years since 2002’s This Is Me … Then gave her two of her biggest hits in “Jenny From the Block” and “All I Have.

Jennifer Lopez has been busy. In case you missed it, the Puerto Rican singer, dancer, and actor released not one but three complementary projects to kick off the year. There's her "This Is Me . . . Now" album; a video companion/musical to said album, "This Is Me . . . Now: A Love Story"; and a documentary that dives into said love story, "The Greatest Love Story Never Told." It was an ambitious undertaking, no doubt. And one that has her being dragged across TikTok, Instagram, and X (formerly Twitter).
Part of the controversy lies in how Lopez represents herself and her native borough of the Bronx. In one scene from the documentary, Lopez tussles her curly hair while looking in the mirror and says, "It reminds me, like, when I was 16 in the Bronx, running up and down the block. Crazy little girl who used to fucking be wild and no limits,...

There’s a moment in Jennifer Lopez’s latest documentary The Greatest Love Story Never Told, directed by Jason Bergh, where she gets to the heart of why she’s pursuing a multi-format rollout of her ninth album This Is Me … Now. “It’s not like anybody was clamoring for the next JLo record,” she says with a self-aware laugh in an interview scene. “There’s some people around me who are like, ‘This is stupid. She doesn’t need to do this. Why is she doing this?’ And they’re right.

Jennifer Lopez recently made a big comeback in her career with the release of This Is Me… Now (a follow-up to her 2002 album This Is Me… Then), and a movie of the same title.
Though the film is loosely based on J.Lo’s experiences in multiple romantic relationships, it is a fictionalized narrative (presenting a semi-autobiographical story).

The film is going to be as star-studded as possible with artists like Post Malone, Keke Palmer, and even Neil deGrasse Tyson having some cameo or the other. It took Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez 18 years to reunite after halting their engagement in 2004. Even though the two were considered the perfect Hollywood couple at the time, things ended on a sour note for the two at the time, with reports holding extensive media scrutiny responsible for it.
Almost two decades later, the two are now happily married, as they were quick to tie the knot after reconciling their bond in 2021. And the two have finally given an insight into their relationship, and how the split-up at the time affected them, with Lopez finally forgiving Affleck and herself.

“I’ve been married four times now,” Jennifer Lopez says to the camera during the opening minutes of “The Greatest Love Story Never Told,” “and I’m sure people watching from the outside are like ‘What is this girl’s fucking problem?’”
If nothing else, this semi-candid Epk of a film — which chronicles the making of “This Is Me… Now: A Love Story,” the self-financed musical fairy tale that Lopez released on Prime video earlier this month in support of her new album of the same name — identifies the multi-talented music icon’s “fucking problem” more nakedly than anything else she’s ever made: She’s desperate to be understood, but petrified of putting herself out there.
It’s a dilemma inherent to celebrity in the digital age, and one that might be relatable to anyone who’s tried to be vulnerable in a world that can destroy you for exposing your heart.

Jennifer Lopez is celebrating the release of her documentary film The Greatest Love Story Never Told, which dives into some emotional topics.
The 54-year-old entertainer stepped out for a special screening and Q&a session on Monday night (February 26) at the Pacific Design Center in Los Angeles.
In the documentary, Jennifer discusses some tough subjects, including how she was “manhandled” in a past abusive relationship. The topic came up after she filmed the music video for her song “Rebound,” which suggested a domestic violence scenario.

“Being thrown around and manhandled like that is not fun. I was never in a relationship where I got beat up, thank God, but I’ve definitely been manhandled and a couple of other unsavory things, rough, disrespectful,” Jennifer said in the documentary.
She continued, “More than anything, it’s really a vulnerable place to be in every day.

Actor-director Ben Affleck and actress-singer Jennifer Lopez rekindled their romance in 2021 after almost 20 years. However, the ‘Argo’ star had a request. Ben didn’t want their relationship to play out in front of her followers, reports ‘People’ magazine.
Ben made the revelation in the new Prime Video documentary ‘The Greatest Love Story Never Told’.
“Getting back together, I said, ‘Listen, one of the things I don’t want is a relationship on social media’,” the actor and director, 51, recalls.
“Then I sort of realised it’s not a fair thing to ask. It’s sort of like, you’re gonna marry a boat captain and you go, ‘Well, I don’t like the water’.”
As per ‘People’, despite Ben’s apprehensions, the couple has made it work, getting engaged in April 2022 and tying the knot in Las Vegas that July.
In the years since, Jennifer, 54, has occasionally shared photos and...

Jennifer Lopez‘s new documentary The Greatest Love Story Never Told is filled with some really interesting information, and at one point, we learn the real reason why she and her now-husband Ben Affleck broke up three days before their 2003 wedding was supposed to happen.
Both JLo and Ben spoke about the event and the catalyst for their breakup at the time. They rekindled their romance back in 2021 and are now married.
Keep reading to find out more…
JLo shared in the documentary, “Ben and I, we broke up three days before our wedding. We had a big wedding planned…14 ushers and bridesmaids, and three days before we just crumbled under the pressure.”
Ben concurred, adding, “When Jen and I broke up before, the catalyst for that was the massive amount of scrutiny around our private life.”
“For all those years it was really hard, because I didn’t just...

With her ninth album “This Is Me…Now,” Jennifer Lopez promised to be more honest and vulnerable than ever before — a bookend to 2002’s “This Is Me…Then” in which she would “tell her side” of the romances that for decades have been one-dimensionally splashed across the pages of tabloids worldwide. Even as a lifelong fan, I was skeptical just how far back she’d draw the curtain given the meticulous control she’s exerted over her career.
Between the record and “This Is Me…Now: A Love Story,” the hourlong not-a-film-but-not-a-music-video accompaniment released concurrently with it, Lopez conveyed pop emotionality more effectively than true intimacy. But “The Greatest Love Story Never Told,” the third part of her album-cycle media offensive, delivers precisely the revelatory perspective that its counterparts lack. Directed by Jason Bergh, the documentary explores the complicated production of “A Love Story,” in the process exposing a global superstar’s ambitions,...

If you had a hard time understanding Jennifer Lopez's recent music video project "This Is Me... Now: A Love Story," her documentary "The Greatest Love Story Never Told" might answer some of your questions. In the doc, Lopez shares that the inspiration behind both "This Is Me... Now: A Love Story" and her ninth studio album, "This Is Me... Now" (both of which released on Feb. 16), was to finally set the record straight about her love life.
"I've been married four times now. I'm sure people watching from the outside were like, 'What is this girl's fucking problem?' You saw kind of a compulsive behavior," Lopez says in the documentary's introduction. "What I portrayed to the world was, 'Oh this didn't work out and it's fine and I'm good and they're good.' And all of that was kind of bullshit."
