One of the best in the series So far
Hamzaks22 September 2013
This is my first time to write a review for anything .. a movie , a series or an anime . ...

I am not even a big anime fan ..

But holly lord ... this episode of attack on titans was the best to ever show and worth the whole series

the story was just building up in the previous episode ,, building up to this point ... the point of explosion so everything will be settled or everything will just be a big mess that ends the humanity.

Keen observers of previous episodes might have noticed how Annie (in her female titan form) cried when Ern was taken from her mouth .. what that implies , is she actually fighting for the sake of humanity , is she the last hope ,,, or those who live behind the walls ,, it is just so confusing

There are many variables , many different point of views and we just have to wait till the end to figure out all the secrets ..

Wonderful episode. Exceeded every expectation. This was an adapted episode that exceeded it's original material. There were tons of epic scenes here and to describe all of them in detail would take awhile. Annie's titan transformation and her rampaging the city while fighting Mikasa and the scouts was excellent stuff. I also loved Eren's struggle to transform into a titan, and once he does it's a chilling cliffhanger to end the episode. Absolutely amazing. OST and animation was top notch. High quality episode.

Great second Part!

Warning: Spoilers
This episode was great because we got to see how they found out who the female Titan was.

Recap: With the identity of the Female Titan now revealed, Eren has reservations about fighting her. Mikasa, Armin, and the rest of the Recon Corps try to fight the Female Titan, hoping to distract her long enough to buy Eren time to come to terms with his feelings.

A successful sequel to Part 1.

A successful sequel to Part 1 because it manages to fill some holes in terms of Eren not being able to transform and why Annie was the one to blame since the beginning. I knew the hype song was coming near the end, and I couldn't have been more satisfied by it.

Perfect set

Warning: Spoilers
Just like episode 12 I expected this to be the finale but it wasn't however this time there is tense action and this might be the scariest episode of the season Eren Mikasa and Armin are trapped in a narrow tunnel with Annie trying to squash them you get the feeling that anyone can die at any time and it's brilliant Mikasa and Armin get our but Eren isn't so lucky the scouts fight the female titan while Eren lays severely injured but that doesn't stop Eren leading to my favourite transformation of the whole season bring on the finale 9/10.

Rewatch, 10/10

What if my top 20 favorite episodes of Attack On Titan were basically just my top 20 favorite episodes of all time? My two favorite episodes now are both Attack On Titan, and I wasn't really expecting all of these ratings. In this show, so far, there were absolutely zero episodes with a 9/10 ratings or lower. All the rest were a 9.05/10 or above. This is definitely my favorite first season of all time, and this is definitely a top three season of all time for me. Anyways, my favorite characters in this episode were Eren, Mikasa, and Armin. My favorite things about this episode were the action, the ending, and the Antagonists.

From a Non-Anime Fan
sanadalsalt17 December 2023
This is my first time writing a review for anything, be it a movie, a series, or an anime.

I'm not even a big anime fan, but wow... this episode of Attack on Titan was the best so far and truly justified the entire series.

The story had been building up in the previous episode, leading to this pivotal moment - the point of explosion where everything would either be resolved or descend into chaos, potentially ending humanity.

Astute viewers may have noticed how Annie (in her female titan form) cried when Eren was taken from her mouth. What does this imply? Is she actually fighting for the sake of humanity? Is she the last hope for those living behind the walls? It's all so confusing.

There are numerous variables, multiple perspectives, and we'll just have to wait until the end to unravel all the secrets.
