In spite of almost two decades having passed since the release of the first episode, The Office’s legacy still lives on in the hearts of its fans. One of their most favorite onscreen employees, the charming receptionist Pam Beesly steals the whole romantic line of the sitcom. However, the Pam actress, Jenna Fischer, seems to stay out of the spotlight now.
It may come as a surprise, but over the course of 11 years that have passed since The Office’s conclusion, Fischer has made a number of far cries from the role which made her a star, with some of the projects with our favorite Pam actress being enlisted below.
Her first post-Office role was the one in Owen Wilson and Zach Galifianakis’ dramedy titled Are You Here (2013). This movie was received quite poorly, and the critics were sure it was a shameful waste of the actors’ talents, including Fischer’s comedy potential.

Atresmedia TV’s “Dreams of Freedom,” Rtve’s “Detective Touré” and Mediterráneo’s “Fentanyl: A Deadly Epidemic,” feature in Spain Content Goldmine: In Demand Like Never Before, a showcase of new and upcoming Spanish series unspooling Jan. 23 on the first day of Content Americas.
The title’s no hype. Since “Money Heist” became Netflix’s first true-blue global non-English blockbuster in 2018, Spain has consistently seen its top shows and movies rank high in global streamer charts, or sell worldwide, such as The Mediapro Studio’s “The Head.”
In 2022, in Europe, most fiction titles commissioned by global streamers were produced in Spain (34) and the U.K. (32), according to the European Audiovisual Observatory.
In 2023, film and TV titles from Spain have ranked No. 1 on Netflix’s global non-English Top 10 charts for more weeks – 13 – than those from any other country in the world, apart from South Korea. This month, after dropping on Netflix on Jan.

Sex and the City fans were recently treated to a Bravo mashup between Ryan Serhant and the HBO series spin-off And Just Like That‘s … Seema Patel (Sarita Choudhury).
In And Just Like That … Season 2, episode 9, Seema scours the Manhattan landscape for the perfect pad for client Ravi Gordi (Armin Amiri). She finds a great apartment, represented by Serhant, who plays himself. Ravi doesn’t seem impressed, but he hasn’t seemed impressed with any of the listings.
Ultimately Serhant allows Seema and Ravi to explore the place, which is when the two realize they have hot chemistry, which they can no longer deny. They have sex in the apartment, something Seema has never done before with a client. As they leave, she lets Serhant know that they’ll take the place – and he can tell exactly how she “closed the deal.”
Serhant teased his role on the show in an Instagram video.

The “Dead Boy Detectives” show at HBO Max has added Caitlin Reilly and Max Jenkins to its cast in recurring roles, Variety has learned exclusively.
The eight-episode series was ordered at HBO Max back in April. It is based on the DC comics of the same name as well as “The Sandman,” from characters created by Neil Gaiman and Matt Wagner.
The official series description states, “It’s a fresh take on a ghost story that explores loss, grief, and death through the lens of Edwin Payne (George Rexstrew) and Charles Rowland (Jayden Revri), two dead British teenagers, and their very alive friend, Crystal Palace (Kassius Nelson). So, it’s a lot like a vintage detective series — only darker and on acid.”
Reilly and Jenkins will play Litty and Kingham respectively. They are described as “tiny foul-mouthed dandelion sprites. They are a rude annoyance to the Dead Boys.”

Additional cast members for “Goodnight Mommy” include Jeremy Bobb, Crystal Lucas-Perry and Peter Hermann.

A few years ago, Manifest Season 4 would have been a promising proposition for the array of insatiable streaming platforms that saw the act of rescuing a beloved canceled network series as a proverbial feather in the cap. However, for obvious reasons, times have clearly changed for the industry in the past year. Consequently, NBC’s recent cancelation of the sci-fi leaning mystery drama after three seasons proved potent, since ensuing attempts by its producers to land the series elsewhere are now confirmed to have failed. Adriana Ugarte, star of hit Spanish TV drama “The Time in Between” and Pedro Almodóvar’s “Julieta,” will play the lead role in Atresmedia original series “Madre.”
A remake of successful Turkish TV drama “Anne,” in turn an adaptation of Japanese series “Mother,” “Madre” continues Spanish media conglomerate Atresmedia’s bet on re-versioning recent standout Turkish scripted series. This strategy kicked-off with “Alba,” the Elena Rivera-starring redo of female empowerment skein “Fatmagul,” a modern Turkish classic.
A 13-hour series, “Madre” is produced by Atresmedia TV in collaboration with Buendía Estudios, the joint-venture launched last year by Atresmedia and Telefonica-owned pay TV operator Movistar Plus.
Scheduled to premiere this year on Atresmedia’s SVOD service Atresplayer Premium and then launch on the group’s core channel Antena 3 in Spanish TV primetime, “Madre” will follow the same release windowing as “Alba,” which bowed in March on Atresplayer and now awaits a free-to-air TV debut.

There has been an exponential hike in international sales for non-English-language drama series as the TV business has become increasingly global.
Spain’s no exception. Traditionally, international buyers were looking for local primetime TV fiction such as Diagonal’s period skein “Isabel,” which has been acquired by Rai in Italy, the 82nd territory nabbing the series.
The global explosion of OTTs has propelled a new culture of Spanish TV fiction consumption.
“Spanish drama works excellently on premium platforms and is definitely not only for the Hispanic world,” says Christian Gockel, Evp acquisitions & sales at Beta Film.
Handled by Beta, Telefonica-Movistar Plus’ “La Zona,” a thriller set in a nuclear plant meltdown, has been taken by Starz in the U.S., France’s Canal Plus and Germany’s Zdf.
“We are at a key moment where non-traditional territories are betting on Spanish drama,” Gockel adds.
“Money Heist” came close to being a global Netflix phenomenon.

Amazon’s The Boys have some feelings about corporate superheroes, and they aren’t afraid to share them in the first teaser for the upcoming adaptation of Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson’s comic book.
The series explores “what happens when superheroes — who are as popular as celebrities, as influential as politicians and as revered as Gods — abuse their superpowers rather than use them for good,” per the official description. “It’s the powerless against the super powerful as The Boys embark on a heroic quest to expose the truth about ‘The Seven,’ and Vought, the multi-billion dollar conglomerate that manages these superheroes.

Jennifer Esposito will be joining The Boys‘ club next year, having been cast in Amazon’s adaptation of the Garth Ennis-Darick Robertson comic book.
The live-action Boys — which received an eight-episode, straight-to-series order last November — is described as a drama “where superheroes embrace the darker side of their massive celebrity and fame.” The project centers on a group of vigilantes known informally as “the boys,” who set out to take down corrupt superheroes with no more than blue-collar grit and a willingness to fight dirty.
Per our sister site Deadline, Esposito will appear in five episodes as CIA Agent Susan Raynor.
