London 1972. When a defecting KGB officer, Arkady Malinov, reveals Operation Glass, a devastating Soviet plot that could change the course of the cold war, Daddy, the head of MI5, assembles a secret team to investigate. As the Soviets awaken a list of sleeper agents all over Britain, Daddy's team must move swiftly to gain information about the plot.
In 1972 the Cold War is still raging. At MI5 headquarters mother-dominated counter espionage head Bobby Waterhouse instructs young agent Joe Lambe to debrief defecting KGB colonel Arkady Malinov with colleague Alan Montag listening in. Arkady tells Joe about a Soviet plot, Operation Glass, but, whilst the details are sketchy, MI5 boss 'Daddy' is sufficiently convinced to form a secret committee including bemused Special Branch officer Jim Fenchurch, Alan's wife Sarah and Wendy Straw. Arkady names compromised British spy David Hexton as an informant for the Russians but David is murdered and Joe recognizes that one of the slayers is a man named Odin, who killed Joe's girlfriend Yulia in Poland a year previously.—don @ minifie-1
