- Lagertha and Ragnar unite once again; Aslaug must face the truth of her prophecies; Athelstan struggles to define his faith; Bjorn must once again make a choice.
- Even with the additional warriors from Lagertha's new home, Ragnar and Rollo realize they are still outnumbered. Ragnar decides to destroy their winter food supplies to draw out Jarl Borg. He and Bjorn set the grain stores on fire. The ensuing battle is bloody but Ragnar returns to Kattegat victorious. With the battle won, both Bjorn and Lagertha must decide whether to stay or return to their home. In Wessex, Athelstan recovers from his wounds and seems to be gaining the confidence of King Ecbert. - The reinforcements brought by Rollo and Bjorn don't suffice to chase Borg from Kattegat, but he's drawn out by destroying the winter food supply, performed at night by Ragnar and Bjorn. The battle is undecided, but the earl retreats to Gotland. In Wessex, king Ecbert lets Athelstan advice him about pagan law and justice. Initially unable to attend mass sincerely, the apostate seeks a sign to regain his faith. Seeing how well eager warrior-apprentice Bjorn get on with his half-brothers, Ragnar invites him and his mother to stay, but she decides to return to her present husband alone, the the princess's grateful joy.—KGF Vissers
- Ragnar, Bjorn and two men go to Kattegat to destroy the winter supplies to Jarl Borg to force him to leave the village. Then Lagherta and Bjorn and their men join forces with Ragnar, Rollo and their men and together they defeat Jarl Borg that flees. Meanwhile King Ecbert protects Athelston to learn the pagan culture and beliefs. Ragnar wants to stay with Auslag and Lagherta since he loves both women but Lagherta decides to come back to her husband. Now Bjorn must make another choice.—Claudio Carvalho, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil
