A Necessary Transition
Hitchcoc2 November 2021
Moving from one season to another is always tricky. I disagree that it's lost its edge and become like a soap opera. When people in sitcoms are together this much, there have to be some relationships that move forward. So far, Howard and Bernadette are the only ones married. Sheldon is on a self imposed sabbatical. Stuart is the answer to a dream. It will be interesting to see what the living arrangements are.

Season 7th Review

Warning: Spoilers
There were some funny episodes and moments in this season somewhere but overall, it's not the best compared to the previous ones. One thing I do like, is that there are many improvements on the writing on certain characters, for example, Amy.

"The Status Quo Combustion" was a great season finale of "The Big Bang Theory"

Warning: Spoilers
In this season finale of "The Big Bang Theory": In front of everyone, Leonard and Penny announce their engagement which get congrats from all. Then Raj says he had sex with Emily which gets more congrats from them-except for Leonard and Penny though after Bernadette says how Raj is rarely happy, they join in as well. Sheldon is depressed because the university president won't let him change his course of study, that's on top of Leonard telling him he'll have to do without him because of his new status with Penny. Howard and Bernadette keep losing nurses to take care of Howard's mother, even Penny quits in a hurry. And Stuart loses his comic shop to a fire. I'll stop there and just say this was quite a funny change-in-progress ep for this funny and unique show. And Amy's reaction at the end was priceless! So on that note, I loved "The Status Quo Combustion" ep of "The Big Bang Theory"!

The Show is Falling Apart..
sameerpathan000716 May 2014
Season 7 was poor and it might be the worst season of its run. Except a few episodes, the whole season was dull. The burst of laughter, we used to get while watching previous seasons was absent this year. The show moved on to an emotional side but it vanished the whole charm of the show. The jokes are dull and there were only a few moments in the whole season where I had an actual laugh. TBBT has been renewed till Season 10. I don't know about its future but the writers really need to work hard and deliver the old magic of TBBT that took it where it stands now. Talking about the final episode of Season 7, it was not of great quality as it should be considering that of "Season Finale" but it was okay. I hope only for the best for TBBT and seriously want the old charm, the old quality of TBBT to return next season.

Broken tracks straight ahead
amitanshushakya1721 May 2014
A lot of things happened after season 7 and none of them was good. This season started with couple of good episode but inevitably went completely offtrack. Howard's character is the most boring character of all now he is nothing more than 2 - 3 lines every episode and not a single one of them is funny same thing goes for Amy and Bernadette, Penny is controlling everyone and everything and Sheldon is stuck in an infinite loop of confusion.Every episode makes me hate Penny more and more. Even worst there are no emotions now Professor Proton dies not a single character sad,Sheldon has lost his focus nobody cares, Comic store burned down who gives a s@#t. where is Sheldon and Amy's relationship going? Nowhere its just stuck and severely annoying. This show was all about fanboys and nerds and their quirkiness, science stuff comic books and video games. I agree that there must be some changes but it doesn't means it should be thrown out of the window just for a change. I don't know how we will handle this relationship crap for 3 more years. It should be known as Chuck Lorre's signature style of writing to make shows endless till actors start to leave this show. ( Ahem... just like two and a half men ) this show used to be an ocean of laughs now its just a muddy puddle of sadness. This is a serious request of a former Hardcore TBBT fan to Chuck Lorre and Bill Prady please do not take this show on path of two and a half men there is noting but train wreck ahead.

The light is going out.

Warning: Spoilers
This last season was NOT funny, in fact it sounded like the real audience was not there and that the laughter was dubbed on.

This has descended into a regular soap opera – everybody gets married, Raj finds a girl etc. The whole point used to be the geek attitudes which made the people different and unable to make social contacts.

Perhaps the actors are bored and not contributing much nowadays or maybe it has just run its course, either way it is time to simply stop and take a hard look and what is being produced.

Even the latest cover of the box set reflects that the characters are not who they were – this has been a very successful franchise but if it drives into oblivion people will be very selective about buying DVDs.
