There have been rumblings for a while now that Marvel Studios has big plans for Chris Evans' Captain America in the MCU. We've already heard chatter about a Human Torch cameo in Deadpool & Wolverine (not to mention the actor's long-awaited return as Steve Rogers in Avengers: Secret Wars), but how about a TV show?
According to scooper @MyTimeToShineH, a limited series is in development for Disney+ which will revolve around Captain America returning the Infinity Stones to their correct place in time following the events of Avengers: Endgame.
This is a story fans have long said they want to see, and a show like this would be a good way to make Marvel Studios' streaming offering feel like must-watch event TV again (which was the case when WandaVision and The Falcon and The Winter Soldier launched in 2021).
We've heard about possible plans for this TV show before, so here's hoping it's finally moving forward.

At this point, everyone knows that MCU has hit sort of a rough patch, with 2023 being disastrous for Marvel Studios and Disney finding itself on the infamous list of the biggest box-office losers.
This is why Iger announced that they will be significantly reducing the output in the future, focusing on 2-3 movies a year and two shows.
Now 16 years in, MCU has 5 phases in total, with Phase 4 being lauded as the absolute worst. This is fair this is where they truly started to pump out content without really thinking about the stories or taking care of their introduced characters. Phase 3, is lauded as the best one yet, and this is what recent Rotten Tomatoes data proved.

By now, it’s widely acknowledged that the MCU has encountered a challenging period, notably with the dismal performance of Marvel Studios in 2023, leading Disney to feature on the list of major box-office flops.
Consequently, Iger disclosed plans for a substantial reduction in output, with a shift towards producing only 2-3 movies annually along with two shows.
After 16 years, the MCU spans across 5 phases, with Phase 4 often criticized as the weakest. This criticism is justified, as it marked a period of content saturation without sufficient regard for storytelling or character development. In contrast, Phase 3 is widely acclaimed as the pinnacle, a sentiment affirmed by recent Rotten Tomatoes data.

Rocket Science and CAA Media Finance are launching foreign sales out of Cannes for the John Lee Hancock directed Monsanto starring Glen Powell, Anthony Mackie and Oscar winner Laura Dern.
Monsanto tells the true story of young, untried attorney Brent Wisner (Powell) who takes on a seemingly insurmountable case against the giant U.S. chemical company Monsanto on behalf of Dewayne “Lee” Johnson (Mackie) who used Monsanto’s best-known product Roundup, a wildly financially successful weed and grass pesticide killer, as part of his job as a high school groundskeeper. Stephen Amell’s performance within the Arrowverse is one that is regarded by many to be a fan favorite. He is much loved because of the same. A legacy of the same was created upon Arrow’s end.

Over the past decade, Josh Brolin has emerged as one of the most prolific actors in Hollywood, even earning an Oscar nomination for the 2008 biographical drama Milk. However, despite his success, the actor doubted his future in the film industry after his feature film debut in the 1985 comedy film The Goonies.

Marvel Studios' Avengers: Endgame marked its five-year anniversary on April 30, and composer Alan Silvestri has now explained why he feels one sequence in particular has had such a lasting impact.
We are, of course, referring to the "Portals" scene.
During the climactic battle, Thanos manages to defeat Thor, Iron Man, and Captain America - but Steve Rogers isn't about to stay down. As the Sentinel of Liberty dusts himself off and prepares to fight until his last breath, he hears a familiar "on your left," and turns around to see Black Panther and the others recently-revived heroes assembling through Doctor Strange and Wong's mystical portals.
While speaking to Games Radar, Silvestri said he believes this moment has become so beloved and iconic because of what Rogers had experienced in the build-up.
"The spectacle [of Portals] is ultimately overwhelming, but I think it's emotional because we've never seen every ounce of optimism destroyed in Captain America,...

Anya Taylor-Joy makes a very brief appearance in Dune: Part Two, but if and when Denis Villeneuve returns to helm his adaptation of Dune: Messiah, the Furiosa star will have a much more substantial role.
If you haven't seen the movie yet, spoilers follow.
In Part One, we learn that Paul Atreides' mother, the Bene Gesserit Lady Jessica, is pregnant with the late Duke Leto's child. When the Fremen take in the survivors of the Harkonnen massacre, Jessica agrees to become the tribe's new Reverend Mother (she isn't really given a choice) and is "persuaded" to drink the Water of Life (a blue substance that's been extracted from a juvenile sandworm).
This gives Jessica incredible foresight and knowledge of previous generations, while also awakening similar abilities in her unborn daughter, who begins to communicate with and seemingly influence her mother's actions.

The Marvel Cinematic Universe has lost most of its charm after Avengers: Endgame. After most of the Og characters’ story concluded following The Infinity Saga, the Kevin Feige vehicle took a different approach for The Multiverse Saga. Sadly, it did more bad than good. The introduction of the excessive amount of Disney+ Marvel shows and movies brought the MCU to its lowest.

Fortunately, it looks like Marvel Studios has listened to its fans and realized their mistake as the latest comments by Kevin Feige hint at a brighter future for the superhero universe. The MCU boss promised his fans that he would surely return with a bang. He assured that the haters would be proven wrong and the fans would once again get back their glorious Marvel days.

The studio is, however, looking forward to Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman’s Deadpool & Wolverine’s theatrical release for a blockbuster. Keep scrolling to get the deets.
Over the past few years, especially after Avengers: Endgame’s release, the MCU has been going through a tough time as its films are not doing as well as before. Bob Iger On MCU Content(Photo Credit –Twitter/IMDb)
After “Avengers: Endgame”, Marvel has released numerous movies and series to keep their fandom engaged. However, following the conclusion of the Infinity Saga, only a few of these titles have received positive reviews. Among the well-received films are “Spider-Man: Far From Home,” “Spider-Man: No Way Home,” “Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings,” and “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.” In terms of series, “WandaVision,” “Loki,” and “What If…?” have managed to captivate viewers. Bob Iger has finally got into action to implement a new strategy.
Many Marvel fans have voiced concerns that recent stories lack the impact of earlier instalments. In the past, Marvel Entertainment typically released only 1-2 movies per year, each with a strong narrative, compelling villains, and memorable moments. Now, Disney CEO Bob Iger has made a significant decision regarding the future of MCU content.

Death is not permanent, not in the Multiversal saga of the Marvel Cinematic Universe anyway. Of course, we have mourned the death of the beloved villain turned-hero with a glorious purpose, Tom Hiddleston’s Loki but we got him back with an even more interesting twist— further exploration of the character even without the inherent shadow of his brother, Thor, as depicted in the previous movies in the MCU.
Robert Dowmey Jr. as Iron Man in Avengers: Endgame
Like Loki’s apparent death, fan-favorite Robert Downey Jr’s Iron Man demise was perhaps the saddest part for any MCU fan. There could have always been more from the character but killing him off in the Avengers: Endgame made perfect sense and his death was glorious but with Deadpool & Wolverine, a lot can change.

How much Marvel is too much? That question has hung over the MCU for more than five years, since Avengers: Endgame gave viewers an easy jumping off point. In that time, Marvel has released 25 movies, TV series, and specials, few of them pleasing all but the most committed fans.
It’s no surprise that, since he came back as Disney’s CEO, Bob Iger has talked several times about reducing MCU output. He hasn’t offered much in the way of specifics until now, but that still raises questions about the franchise’s future success.

Robert Kirkman, the creator behind The Walking Dead comic book series, has an unexpected favorite character within the expansive universe. There are many remarkable things about Deadpool & Wolverine. For one, it marks the MCU’s first serious foray into formerly Fox-owned mutant territory. It’s certainly the first Marvel movie ever to, um, feature gags about pegging. But even more notable than either of those things, it’s the only Marvel Studios film set to arrive in cinemas in 2024 full-stop. Post-pandemic – and in the wake of the box office-sweeping high of Avengers: Endgame – Marvel has struggled to reach audiences on a scale it used to, with recent films like Ant-Man And The Wasp: Quantumania and The Marvels seriously underperforming. Factor in the overwhelming volume of Marvel stories that have been in the works across cinematic releases and streaming series, and the powers that be declared a rethink.
That included dialling down the number of Marvel projects for audiences to digest – hence, Deadpool & Wolverine is the only MCU movie to land this year.

Marvel Studios and the Marvel Cinematic Universe isn’t what it used to be anymore. From failing movies to cringe scenes (just look at Thor: Love and Thunder), the MCU is suffering through the effects of post-Endgame clarity.

Robert Downey Jr. has been instrumental in building the MCU and making it what it is today. Downey Jr.’s Iron Man was the first character that Marvel Studios kicked off within their planned cinematic universe. The character became the leader of the Avengers and also dealt with some personal issues and complexities within him in his solo films as well.

As far as the Marvel Cinematic Universe is concerned, aka the MCU, there is no barrier that can justify the fans’ utter loyalty to the franchise. Unlike the Phase Four era, which alienated and divided fans more than ever, the billion-dollar franchise has always attracted the attention of critics and audiences from all over, proving its fascinating command over the IP and the power of storytelling.

After a decade and change playing superhero in the Marvel Cinematic Universe sandbox, Robert Downey Jr. wants to remind everyone there's more to him than Tony Stark. In the years since permanently (?) retiring his MCU alter ego in "Avengers: Endgame," the actor has lined up an ambitious slate of projects. Between getting an Oscar for his supporting role in Christopher Nolan's Best Picture-winning "Oppenheimer" and pulling a Peter Sellers by tackling multiple colorful characters in Park Chan-wook and Don McKellar's "The Sympathizer" miniseries, it's fair to say Rdj the character actor is officially back.
As chance would have it, we're now 10 years removed from the last time Downey tried (but failed) to renew his acting bonafides with "The Judge." Directed by David Dobkin, the 2014 drama stars Downey as Hank Palmer, a big-shot lawyer from Chicago who returns to his podunk hometown in Indiana to attend his mother's funeral.

There have been a million thinkpieces about the current state of Marvel Studios. Is Kevin Feige’s record-breaking studio in trouble? Will Bob Iger force the studio to cut down on the number of projects? Do audiences even care anymore? Well, we don’t have real answers about any of that, other than to say things are definitely not as rosy as they were when “Avengers: Endgame” was destroying the box office in 2019.

Robert Downey Jr’s Iron Man shepherded the MCU in its first three phases, leading the Avengers and being one of the leading heroes that catapulted the franchise to its peak. His journey from an arrogant and flamboyant billionaire to a selfless hero who sacrifices his life for the greater good has made him the most iconic character in the franchise.
Robert Downey Jr. as Iron Man in Avengers: Endgame
The actor has played the character over 10 times in the MCU and that is an admirable record. However, another unlikely actor has surpassed Downey Jr. in terms of voicing several MCU characters. X-Men ’97 actor Ross Marquand now holds the record for the most voice roles in the MCU across different formats.

Zack Snyder’s dreams of rebooting the entire DC universe were short-lived, and the filmmaker was pushed out before he could create a conclusive enough world. While fans were disappointed to see him go, they have pretty much backtracked and are excited to have James Gunn helm the superhero universe now.
James Gunn (Image: Gage Skidmore | Wikimedia Commons)
A former Marvel director, Gunn has already proven his capabilities in the genre and will be directing the first Dcu film, Superman. However, fans are not happy after hearing the recent update about the movie and believe Gunn is making the same mistake as Snyder.
James Gunn’s Alleged Mistake Akin to Zack Snyder’s Batman faces Superman in Batman vs Superman
James Gunn and Zack Snyder are both auteurs and incredible filmmakers. Yet, DC fans have not been kind to Snyder for his dark take on the mythos and seem to hate him with a passion.

X-Men '97 has featured a handful of memorable cameos from some high-profile Marvel characters, including Spider-Man and Captain America.
The latter is best known for leading The Avengers, and with everything this world's mutants are going through - including Magneto seemingly declaring war on humanity - could a clash between them and the X-Men be on the horizon?
Talking to ComicBook.com (via Toonado.com), Professor X actor Ross Marquand shared his belief that there's "a real chance" the two teams go head-to-head in an animated adaptation of Avengers vs. X-Men.
"You saw what happened in the last episode [with] Rogue and Captain America," Marquand started. "There's a real chance that that could happen. He can't fly. Captain can't fly. She threw that in the side of a snowy mountain."
"I'm sure it's lodged in there 50 feet deep. He ain't gonna find that shield," he joked. "It's not like Mjolnir where...

The original 1964 Broadway production of "Hello, Dolly!" was considered a showcase for its star, Carol Channing, and little else. At the time, critics were not entirely kind, saying the show had "unnecessary vulgar and frenzied touches," and that they "wouldn't say that Jerry Herman's score is memorable." Despite the middling reviews, "Hello, Dolly!" won 10 Tony Awards, including Best Musical, Best Leading Actress (for Channing), Best Direction, Best Choreography, and Best Original Score.
The mid-'60s were a weirdly fraught time for major Hollywood musicals, as the genre provided some of the era's biggest hits, but also some of its biggest bombs. In 1964, Disney had a big hit with "Mary Poppins" and Warner Bros. made bank with "My Fair Lady," so musicals were suddenly on the rise. In 1965, Fox released "The Sound of Music," adapted from the stage production by Rodgers and Hammerstein, and it proved to be one of...

Robert Downey Jr. is one of the first of many truly perfect casting decisions that Marvel made when building the Marvel Cinematic Universe. However, he was very nearly not cast as Iron Man.
The Oscar-winning actor kickstarted the MCU with the first Iron Man movie in 2008. Now, it’s abundantly clear that he is the “genius, billionaire, playboy, philanthropist” that is Tony Stark.
After entering the franchise, he played the iconic hero in 10 movies. He seemingly exited the role with 2019′s Avengers: Endgame, but there are some questions about a potential comeback.
Now it’s clear that he was the right choice. At the time, it was seen as a risk to cast him due to personal struggles. Marvel wanted to hit it out of the park and begin their franchise with a bang. They weren’t sure that he could do that.

Rotten Tomatoes has shared an updated ranking of the "300 Best Movies of All Time" which they say are "reviewed and selected by Tomatometer-approved critics and Rotten Tomatoes users."
At #1? 1997's L.A. Confidential, a movie which has little to nothing in common with superheroes! However, comic book adaptations do factor into the list, with 11 in total making the cut.
According to the review aggregator, Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse is the best superhero movie ever, coming in at #21. Released in 2018, the Sony Pictures title grossed $384.3 million and won a "Best Animated Feature" Oscar in 2019 (making it the first non-Disney/Pixar movie to do so since 2011).
Also included in the list are The Dark Knight (#51), Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse (#81), Spider-Man: No Way Home (#128), Avengers: Endgame, (#142), Iron Man (#145), Black Panther (#225), Logan (#228), Guardians of the Galaxy (#254), Thor: Ragnarok (#274), and The Avengers (#286).
Needless to say, we're sure these selections will generate some discussion!

It might feel like we just rang in the new year last week, but believe it or not, summer is already here -- at the movies, anyway.
With the release of the Ryan Gosling-Emily Blunt action-romcom The Fall Guy, Hollywood's most lucrative season has officially arrived.
But the calendar is light on sure bets this year, and that's mostly because of recent box office trends that have left studio execs in a very uncertain position.
As you probably recall, Barbie and Oppenheimer were the summer box office success stories of 2023.
In retrospect, it seems like a foregone conclusion that two films that so dominated the zeitgeist would also win big commercially.
After all, prior to last year, you had to go all the way back to 2010 for a year in which the highest-grossing movie was neither a sequel nor a superhero flick.

Marvel Cinematic Universe, aka the MCU, has been struggling at the box office for the past few years, especially after Avengers: Endgame. The Marvel Studios is one of the highest-grossing studios, but last year, it had very poor box office results due to The Marvel’s overall collections. It has suffered a loss with a massive margin. Keep scrolling to get all the deets.
The MCU movie featured Brie Larson once again as Captain Marvel, aka Carol Danvers. Besides Larson, the movie had Iman Vellani as Kamala Khan, aka Ms Marvel, and Teyonah Parris as Monica Rambeau. Samuel L Jackson also returned as Nick Fury. South Korean actor Park Seo-Joon made his Hollywood debut with this Marvel flick, but that too could not save the MCU movie’s sinking ship.

Robert Kirkman’s The Walking Dead was one of the most happening shows that graced television long before the author achieved more success with Invincible. Being a comic book first, the show had a slew of plot points that it did not adapt from the comics, which Jeffery Dean Morgan wishes was not the case.

The Marvel Cinematic Universe is not what it used to be. Although the statements might be hurtful, there have never been so many delays in a Marvel film before as Mahershala Ali’s upcoming MCU film Blade.
It’s not just about the infinite delays though, it feels as if the MCU has dropped its standards after the events of Avengers: Endgame. With people getting hurt by these Marvel updates, fans are not liking the news of Mahershala Ali’s delayed film!

Although it could be taken in a good sense that the MCU doesn’t want to release an unfinished product, the fans are also tired now. With the world having learned not to rush things for a release (*cough* Cyberpunk 2077), the MCU probably wants their films to be actually entertaining for the audience.

Avengers: Endgame ended with Steve Rogers passing the Captain America mantle to Sam Wilson. Two years later in 2021, we caught up with the hero in The Falcon and The Winter Soldier, learning he'd declined Steve's offer (meaning John Walker took his place).
By the time the finale rolled around, Sam had decided to wield the shield and did so in style. Four years after that series hit Disney+, we'll next see the former Falcon take centre stage in Captain America: Brave New World.
After Happy Meal toys, leaked promo art, and more, we finally have an official look at Sam suited up courtesy of Empire Online. The suit looks good here, but many fans have already argued that it's a step back from what we wore in The Falcon and The Winter Soldier.

Marvel fans have waited a long time to see their all-new Captain America in full swing. As we explore the emotional landscapes of Avengers: Endgame and Logan, we become entangled in a web of raw emotion and cinematic gravitas. Who can forget the sight of Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine—a character who has sliced his way through hardships since before some of us took our first steps—finally succumbing to mortality in Logan (2017)?
And yet, how can we ignore Tony Stark’s (Robert Downey Jr.) sheer heroic brilliance in finding peace in a sacrificial climax in Avengers: Endgame that touched the hearts of millions? Pepper’s gentle words to Tony signaled not only the end of his character’s arc but also an era.
However, this does not imply that Wolverine’s death will be blanked out by Stark’s sacrifice, as the former takes the top spot in our soul as the most heartbreaking superhero death.

The superhero movie renaissance has had a few absolutely perfect casting choices, and Hugh Jackman as Wolverine is one of them. He might be taller than his comic book counterpart, but Jackman's performance as the brawny, growly, metal-clawed mutant was crucial to the success of the original "X-Men" movie trilogy. It's no wonder that his Wolverine has had three solo spin-off movies, including the critically acclaimed final chapter, "Logan." It's equally unsurprising that Jackman has been unable to resist returning, despite saying farewell to the character, for the upcoming threequel "Deadpool & Wolverine."
"For five years, I was really honest when I said, 'I'm never playing that part again, I promise you,'" Jackman has previously insisted. In a new interview with Empire magazine, Marvel Studios boss Kevin Feige revealed that he once urged Jackman to stick to this conviction:
