The Almighty One is Great

"Angels and Ministers of Grace" packs with action, tense moments and great and gory visuals. It also brings development to Manny's character that finally plays a large role in the narrative.

The episode kicks off when a patient is injured and brought to the hospital with black veins throughout her body. Constantine and the gang obviously comes to her and from then on the episode keeps on improving. It was nice to see how Constantine along side Manny try to puzzle out the clues leading to the villain who causes the havocs. Manny also now gets a decent amount of screen time than previous episodes and he was entertaining in it. Constantine remains intact and Zed gets more developed and interesting as the show progress. Although the villain is quite generic and just the typical guy who causes a large amount of trouble. The visuals in the episode were more eye-catching and gory shots are bravely shown. As far as I'm concerned the show has been excellent now that the characters are getting developed and we're getting more and more good episodes. Canceling a show which started off quite bad is just bullocks.

Overall +Development and a decent screen time for Manny, +Intense moments, +Constantine and Zed, -Generic Villain, +Visuals

Verdict: 8.6/10

Warning: Spoilers
The episode was full of emotions. The way John was in denial of what is happening with Zed, because he knows "magic comes at a cost", the lines said by Zed to Manny, yes you read it right Zed can now see Manny, not only this, now they have an emotional bond too. The villain was not of a big deal in the episode but the way the built up is written is what is worth seeing. The episode brought out the major issue that any thing bad when mixes with anger doesn't come out right. But you have to show some mercy on the villain as he just wanted people to embrace the chance of living, this something special about villains in DC shows as they have a greater meaning for what evil they're doing. Chas' thing of multiple lives and fast healing came handy in this episode, as it was full of action and emotions. The lesson to be learnt is no matter what wrong you do and what evil you become, there's always a light on the other side ready to enlighten you.

*Spoiler Alert* Watch The Episode Before Reading This.

Warning: Spoilers
This episode had almost everything someone could want, a little action, a lot of meaning, it was like the show Supernatural but with older people: two semi-athletic guys on the road with Zed playing the spot of the occasional eye candy and Manny resembling the 67 Chevy Impala from Supernatural in that he was the driving force for why they were on this case. Also at the end he is the second to last person in the episode... just like on Supernatural where the car is usually the last or second to last thing you see. The villain was a little more than a "look at me I'm an evil/mad/hungry bad guy." Aside from the diamond that wasn't his fault, he is one of the few bad guys that you see going to heaven in a movie or show. Also at the end Manny just pops in for a visit and to tell Zed how brave her decision is, his character seems more human at the end after "walking a mile in our shoes." (stop rolling your eyes). It was a great episode, nice to see the character development on Zed and Manny.
