As was inevitable, Sebastian Schipper has landed his first U.S. project on the heels of his stunning one-take thriller "Victoria," which won prizes in Berlin and opens from Adopt Films on October 9. THR reports that Schipper will adapt the bestseller "Denial: A Memoir of Terror," PTSD and terror expert Jessica Stern's 2010 investigation of her and her sister's rape. Decades after being assaulted as teenagers, Stern attempted to solve the crime and deal with her own trauma. The director added that the project, whose working title is "Undeniable," "offers an amazing role for a 40-50-something actress." Schipper has written the first draft of the script but hopes to collaborate with an American screenwriter. In our TOH! interview with Schipper for "Victoria," the writer/director said he has long wanted to work with actors and screenwriters in the Us. "You guys are a real industry, which is not the case in Germany.
