November can be a slow month for streaming services. Amazon, however, is entering into 2020’s penultimate month with some steam.
Amazon is really beefing up its TV library in November 2020. Both Community (which arrives on Nov. 8) and Scrubs (Nov. 14) will be added to Amazon Prime this month and in the process complete the streaming trifecta: Netflix, Amazon, Hulu. That’s pretty impressive stuff for both shows. And then on the film side of things, November 1 sees the arrival of The X-Files: I Want to Believe, Twilight, and the Underworld franchise. Somebody didn’t tell Amazon Spooky Season was over and bless them for it.
As for the originals, Alex Rider is the most intriguing TV series here. That is based on the British spy novel series and premieres on Nov. 13 on IMDb TV (which is available to all Prime subscribers). That will be followed by Steve McQueen’s Small Axe series on Nov.

Elijah Wood is set to star in a crime drama as an FBI agent who interrogated Ted Bundy, for a film called “No Man of God” that’s being presented to buyers at the Cannes Virtual Market.
Amber Sealey is directing the character study film that’s based on the true story of Bill Hagmaier, who developed a complicated relationship with Bundy during the serial killer’s final two years on death row.
“No Man of God” is set largely inside a single interrogation room and is based on real-life transcripts culled from conversations between Hagmaier (Wood) and Bundy that took place between 1984 and 1989. Casting is currently underway for Bundy.

I do have to admit that the simple reason for me watching Seven Stages To Achieve Eternal Bliss is because Taiki Waititi stars in it. As is often the case, just because one actor yu like is in a movie (particularly low budget movies) it might not be the best reason to view it. But it’s Taiki Waititi right?!
As you might be expecting Waititi isn’t actually in the movie a whole lot but on to that later. Seven Stages To Achieve Eternal Bliss is a ridiculous comedy about a young couple who move in to a place that is clearly to good to be true. It’s well located, super cheap and is home to ritualistic...

Claire and Paul (Kate Micucci and Sam Huntington) move to La for her new job at an ad agency. They find a very cheap apartment, but there’s one catch: the cult members who drop by on a regular basis to commit ritual suicide in their bathtub.
Seven Stages To Achieve Eternal Bliss is an odd little film; a small scale but often self-consciously wacky comedy that also has a streak of black humour running through it. The tone is slippery from scene to scene, meaning the screenplay by Christopher and Clayton Hewitson and Justin Jones doesn’t always knit together well, but two things help the film find some consistency.
The first of these things is Kate Micucci, who came to my attention through Garfunkel and Oates; her musical comedy project with her friend Riki Lindhome. Here, her wide-eyed expressiveness works perfectly as Claire is at first baffled by...

What could be funnier than a bunch of cult members dying by suicide? Okay, I guess that’s not really that funny in the real world. But it’s a source of (very) dark comedy in Seven Stages to Achieve Eternal Bliss, in which a couple learns their dream apartment is the final destination for cultists with a […]

"The more we learn about Storsh.... I can see why these people follow him." MarVista Entertainment has debuted an official trailer for an indie comedy titled Seven Stages to Achieve Eternal Bliss, which is the shortened version of the original full title: Seven Stages to Achieve Eternal Bliss By Passing Through the Gateway Chosen By the Holy Storsh. This funky offbeat comedy is about a couple that takes a chance on a place with impossibly low rent, not knowing the former occupant was a cult leader. To make matters more bizarre, an endless string of followers routinely break into their home to ceremoniously sacrifice themselves in the same bathtub he died in. Starring Sam Huntington and Kate Micucci, along with Dan Harmon, Mark McKinney, Rhea Seehorn, and Taika Waititi as Reginald Storsh. This looks kooky and crazy, but potentially absurdly funny, thanks to Kate Micucci above all bringing the good humor.

Vivieno Caldinelli`s quirky cult comedy, Seven Stages to Achieve Eternal Bliss (gracefully shorter than its original title Seven Stages to Achieve Eternal Bliss By Passing Through the Gateway Chosen By the Holy Storsh) is coming to U.S. cinemas this Friday, March 6th, followed by On Demand and Digital on March 17th. Though it may turn out to be a `cult` comedy by reputation later on we mean that`s it definitely a comedy about a cult breaking into a couple`s new apartment to 'Achieve Enternal Bliss'. Yes. An offbeat comedy about a couple taking a chance on a place with impossibly low rent, not knowing the former occupant was a cult leader.
