A film with substance!

1.7 Alpha makes you think- deeply. It is a real journey through the depths of the mind and the vulnerabilities of the senses. You are transported delicately and quite naturally as this film tunes into a wide range of full, potent emotions without getting too carried away but more so, offering the spectator a private space to feel and indulge in a sense of innocent love and a curious mind. The cinematography was exceptional and stunning! The music reawakens those softer places of your soul. This film is deep, intellectually stimulating, emotionally tender and has little twists around every corner! Check it out. You'll enjoy it!

Something different, Something good!

I got to see this film at the 2015 Hoboken International Film Festival. It was nominated for "Best Screenplay", and for good reason! I saw a lot of films at the HIFF actually, and this one stood out among them in very good ways. The directing had a smart style to it, and the film just looked beautiful. I love the framing of the shots. They had a lovely stylish composition, and the colors were well placed. But, my biggest attraction to this film comes from it's story. I love the depth and detail of the dialogue. I feel like there's not enough depth in modern cinema anymore, and this film's story stood out to me in a way that so many modern films simply do not. I love how the story was told with patience, and It was quite interesting to see the psychology of the characters bend throughout the story. Good acting too, and it's always cool to see fresh new faces in cinema! From what I understand, this is the first feature from the writer-director. I'm looking forward to seeing what he comes up with next! I would have given the film an 8 if it were a big studio film, but since it's independent, I gave it a 9. Overall, an excellent independent film. Watch it if you like a film with depth!
