Steve should have taken inspiration
The subplot of this episode of American Dad was what really got me angry. Steve SHOULD have done what Bart did in Homer's dream in the Simpsons episode "Tennis the Menace", and put his father in a guillotine so that he wouldn't interfere with the date. Sadly, Steve didn't do that, and GUESS WHAT? Stan ruined the whole date, TWICE!
Normally I'm against shows ripping off other shows, but here I feel it's absolutely necessary. Had the plot of the American Dad episode "My Affair Lady" that revolved around the mother-son dance taken inspiration from the Simpsons episode "Tennis the Menace", I would have given this 10 stars.
