Behroze is engaged to Agha Jan's niece Arjumand since childhood but he refuses to accept this relation and wants to marry Ruhina, who belongs to a middle-class family and is his class mate, when Agha Jan comes to know about this he tells him to either leave or marry Arjumand, Behroze leaves his father's house and Agha Jan announces that the wedding will take place as scheduled with his younger son Suhaib (who loves Laila). Arjumand denies to marry Suhaib as she treats him as her brother, however after Agha Jan pressures her she agrees. Both get married reluctantly, and Behroze marries Ruhina. Later Ruhina gives Birth to Faarah and Anjumand gives Birth to Wali and Zarmeena. Wali's Birth bring Arjumand and Suhaib close and eventually both fall in love. However after Suhaib's death (after 20 years) Behroze visits the Mansion and decides to fulfills his brothers last wish which was the marriage of their children. Ruhina opposes to this as she was insulted by Agha Jan and thrown out. The Series then focuses upon the relationships that occur in lives of many people—Saim Noon

Twenty years have passed and Faarah and Wali have grown up. After Suhaib pleads Behroze to return for his brotherly love, and finally convinces Agha Jan to phone him, an accident leads to his death, which puts Behroze in a very emotional state he and his family reach the Haveli to meet Agha Jan who is now a much kinder person. Ruhi who had been previously insulted by Agha Jan and thrown out from Haveli twenty years ago has changed her views about him and have started to hate him because of his behaviour. Behroze pressurises Ruhi to agree for Farah's marriage with Wali, since it was his brother's heart felt wish. Wali and Farah both get married and they barely know each other, seeing this a heartbroken Ruhi leaves the Haveli and starts living with her brother Tajamul again. Behroze meets an accident due to the Ruhi's umbrage and his brother death, this make Ruhi more aggressive and her hatred towards Agha Jaan grows. Farah never accepts her relation with Wali and wants to end it. She is interested in her maternal cousin Moeez who also happens to be her best friend. The dispute gets longer on the divorce and property issue, which makes Agha Jan fatally ill, who is a changed man now and wants Rohi and Farah to be a part of his life.
Looking at Agha Jaan's health, Wali made an agreement with Faarah, that if she is ready to spend three months with Agha Jaan, he will divorce her. In between she gets to know that everything has changed and Agha Jaan is not the same person as he used to be. She makes amends for her misbehavior and falls in love with Wali, who first thinks that she is doing because she doesn't want to hurt Agha Jan. Faarah then tells Ruhi about her being wrong and tells her that Agha Jan is not the man he used to be, she further more tells her that Agha Jan needs their love and has health issues, listening to this Ruhi understands her mistake and rushes back to the Haveli, she apologises to Agha Jan who hugs and forgives her. After the end of agreement of Farah and Wali, Wali realises Faarah's love was true all the time and is now aware that she never lied for it even for Agha Jan he then forgives her and both reunite, Ruhi fullfils Behroze's presence and the entire family is united.
