  Morgan Jones : Where there's life, there's possibility.

  Rick Grimes : Of them hitting us.

  Rick Grimes : We can work with the Hilltop. Maggie hammered out a deal. We're getting food - Eggs, butter, fresh vegetables. But they're not just giving it away. These Saviors, they almost killed Sasha, Daryl, and Abraham on the road. Now, sooner or later, they would've found us, just like those Wolves did, just like Jesus did. They would've killed someone or some of us. And then they will try to own us. And we would try to stop them. But by then, in that kind of fight, low on food, we could lose. This is the only way to be sure, as sure as we can get, that we win. And we have to win. We do this for the Hilltop, it's how we keep this place. It's how we feed this place. This needs to be a group decision. If anybody objects, here's your chance to say your peace.

• [Morgan suggests to Rick that he talk to Negan and the Saviors before attacking them] 

  Morgan Jones : You're sure we can do it? We can beat them?

  Rick Grimes : What this group has done, what we've learned, what we've become, all of us - Yes, I'm sure.

  Morgan Jones : Then all we have to do is just tell them that.

  Rick Grimes : Well, they don't compromise.

  Morgan Jones : This isn't a compromise. It's a choice you give them. It's a way out, for them and for us.

• [Carol questions Rick after he arrives back from the Hilltop] 

  Carol Peletier : Rick, what's going on?

  Rick Grimes : We're gonna have to fight.

• [Rick asks Father Gabriel why he's still wearing his priest shirt as they prepare to make their attack on the Saviors] 

  Rick Grimes : Why are you still wearing that?

  Father Gabriel Stokes : It's still who I was. I think.

  Father Gabriel Stokes : [Gabriel then makes a joke]  And it'll be harder for them to see me in the dark.

• [Andy watches Rick punch the nose of a dead walker to look more like the head of Gregory] 

  Rick Grimes : [Andy stares at Rick]  What?

  Andy : The Saviors, they're scary, but those pricks got nothing on you.

  Polly : [on the Saviors' walkie-talkie, a woman's voice calls out to Rick]  Lower your gun, prick. You, with the Colt Python. All of you lower your weapons, right now.

  Rick Grimes : Come on out. Let's talk.

  Polly : [on the walkie-talkie]  We're not coming out, but we will talk. We've got a Carol and a Maggie. I'm thinking that's something you want to chat about.
