This episode is especially chilling due to the tension between Quinn and Rachel. I really liked seeing them as this powerful female duo at the beginning of the season. Although I knew it wouldn't last long, I was hoping to see them at least get through a few episodes before totally stabbing the other in the back. We also are starting to see Rachel fall back to her own self-destructive tendencies, this time, though, a moment of weakness for Quinn is also shown. She realizes she might not be as irreplaceable as she once thought she was. The dynamic and conflicts between these two were probably the most interesting, though. My biggest problem with this episode was the medical choices that were made regarding Darius's back condition. First off, giving Darius an epidural would render him paralyzed entirely from the waist down. Walking would be totally out of the question! In my opinion the doctors should have given him simply a morphine shot. Not only would this fix the medical inaccuracies the epidural incites, but I think it would also add the opening of a possible opiate addiction for Darius. That would add even more to the stakes in an already tense situation! Overall, I thought this episode did well with creating some conflict between Quinn and Rachel, but in my opinion, the medical choices that were made could have been more accurate and led to the possibility of more conflict. I am a huge fan of the show. I would love to produce or write for TV someday and this show takes a unique and stimulating approach to the small array of meta television.
